Get Out….I’m not a scary movie fan either…I don’t enjoy being scared but Get Out is as close to art as a horror movie can get…it’s like The Godfather…even if you don’t like mafia movies you need to see The Godfather as a fan of cinema…Get Out is the same for the horror genre ….

Kimi

If you haven't seen Event Horizon it's a film that scared the pants off me the first time I saw it. Way scarier than Alien.

quirkygeekgirl

I agree with those who said they hope it’s a movie you haven’t seen yet. I love your guys’ commentaries on things you’ve seen and the reminiscing that comes with it. But I will say I enjoy your first time reactions just a little bit more. ESPECIALLY if it’s horror! I wanna see Jay pee himself a little bit. EDIT: There’s the way I meant that last bit and then there’s the way you might take it… Meh. Choose either.

Apef1015

Hereditary?

DP

Please please please do Cabin in the Woods - it’s Whedonverse, it’s so funny and wonderful homage to all horror. Second choice: The Conjuring. Third choice: Ready or Not. Thanks guys! Can’t wait!!

SuperChatSarah

Omg I am suggesting 2 more of these as well (2 and 3)!!

SuperChatSarah

I am not a fan of horror movies, but since it has zombies in it, I vote Zombieland.

Bladefire

"To Your Last Death". Because animated horror and William Shatner basically plays "The Watcher". WILLIAM SHATNER

Scott Sweeney

You could do the Fear Street Trilogy on Netflix. They are pretty campy but fun.

Paige McCourt

I would have to go with either my favorite horror movie, Halloween 1978, or It Chapter One, which when I watched it in the theater unbeknownst to me, my spleen ruptured mid-screening. I always thought about reaching out to Warner Bros to give them press by saying that their movie was so scary that it made one of my organs rupture.

Elliot Rittenhouse

I like really scary movies that I have to hold a pillow over my eyes for at times lol. But I'm trying to think of scarry movies that are less jump scary and more just fun to watch for you guys. Here are a few more. Hope you check them out. Little Monsters- on Hulu Odd Thomas....... Trick Or Treat..... Willy's Wonderland Scary stories to tell in the dark...... Anyway their are many more I can think of but I don't want to overwhelm lol. Hope you have a horrifyingly good time watching some of these...

Cassandra M

The Cabin in The Woods..; Also a fantastic movie that doesn't take its self too seriously but has a great cast and even better over all plot...

Cassandra M

Tucker and Dale VS Evil would be a great watch for you guys. It's a very well done comedy horror. watch a pre view it's worth it.

Cassandra M

I second The Thing. Also, The Others (a nice adaptation of The Turn Of The Screw)

Chris Kalin

The ‘burbs!!!

RJ Beem

Poltergeist 1982, HBO Max, The Evil Dead 1983, HBO Max, 30 Days of Night 2007, Amazon Prime, House, 1986, Amazon Prime, The Monster Squad, Amazon Prime, was going to say Shaun of the dead, but can't find it in streaming. Tucker and Dale VS Evil, also can't find, and Something Wicked this way comes , Disney's Horror, that also I can't seem to find.

Captain C the Game Master

Evil Dead 2. Has to be number 2

Ross Pittam

You tryna traumatize the poor guys? 😆 lol jk I love both of those.

I'm not much of a horror person myself but I enjoyed and recommend Ari Aster's Midsommar (2019) and Hereditary (2018)

Christine Petrosian

Oh. Hi. Adam here. I should add a little note that Jay and I aren’t horror movies fans. We don’t like to be scared. So we haven’t really seen ANY horror movie. So you have 99% chance to suggest a movie we haven’t seen. 😬

kraz_84

Coming in HOT with a go-to scary movie list! I had forgotten about The Crazies and Amityville Horror…though which Amityville are you referencing? Also, clearly I need to watch You’re Next and Happy Death Day. Several Peaches have mentioned that one now.

Amanda

Hush is a really good one, Oculus is a bad but fun horror movie. Get out, US, Candyman. Creep and As above so Below are two really good found footage ones.

Both the first Paranormal Activity and Insidious movies are also incredibly scary. Couldn't sleep in the dark for like 2 days after the first Paranormal Activity.

Patricia Mollohan

1. You're Next- You're Next is one of the best survival horror movies ever. 2. Ready or Not- This is awesome as well. Both You're Next and Ready or Not are great if you wanna see a badass woman take out entire groups of people. 3. Cabin In The Woods- Soooo good, especially if you like homages and call backs to other awesome franchises.

Patricia Mollohan

I love the idea of a classic like The Birds.

FiberTerian

Horror Movies. Not really my thing. I like funny scares 1. Rise of Skywalker 2. Gremlins 3. Critters 4. 13 Ghosts (dunno if more than one, the one with Tony Shalub)

TakumiUK

Both happy death days it’s more comedic but a good time nonetheless

Slirish

I’d really like to see the guys watch along to The Cabin in the Woods as it has such potential for a fun time as well as some classic horror stuffs in it!

Antonia Eldritch (tonijaconi)

1. The Babadook (I like scary movies and this terrified me, apparently it’s No. 10 on Rotten Tomatoes top 100 horror movies) 2. Conjuring (the first) 3. Ready or Not (horror comedy, so good)

Amanda

How about a classic giallo film like Suspiria or something Hitchcock like Psycho or The Birds?

Bethlee Swanson

Not a fan of Horror at all, but I'd def watch along with you guys. Would love it to be something neither of you have seen before. Just watched a trailer for His House (Netflix) and that looks, well, just right

Michael Jenks

Halloween

Randy Bain

The Conjuring and Insidius series are pretty nice.

Jonathan Grenier

I guess it would be better if you hadn't seen the film? Are there any "classics" that neither of you have seen? Woman in Black scared the pants off me, so if I'm picking blind, that one!

Count Spankula

Friday the 13th

Courtney Yarbrough
