A heads up about Quest For 12
Added 2024-08-16 04:55:05 +0000 UTCHey, all. About an hour ago, I got an alert that Patreon had hidden chapter 3 of The Quest for 12 for "Violating their community guidelines." When I checked what it had been flagged for, the cited reason was incest, because Percy banged Thalia.
Now, I could get into how irritatingly stupid that is, considering these sorts of relationships are literally in cannon, but I won't. Not right now at least. For the time being I've taken down that chapter entirely, so if you want to go and reread for any reason, just look it up on any of the other sites I post to. I know it's not ideal, but that felt like the most seamless solution, considering that the chapter is publicly available elsewhere.
Hopefully this won't be a problem again, but the fact that their vetting system is this dumb doesn't fill me with much hope, so I'll be thinking of workarounds just in case. Maybe I'll post the chapters in a SFW state, but attach a PDF with the full version at the top. Whatever I decide on, I'll make it clear when the time comes, and just leave it alone for right now.
Here's to hoping this is a one-time annoyance we can look back and laugh at in the future.
