End of September Update

Hello everyone! 

I want to begin by saying I'm thrilled with the amount of interaction I've had with my game! Doting Dominatrix has been played over 14k times on Itch.io and I've had a number of people tell me how much they enjoyed the game, loved reading the writing, and felt safe while exploring themselves. I'm really honored to have so many people enjoy my game in the first month!

I've been updating the UI over the course of the month and realized that there are lots of tricky bits that I'll have to work on. For starters, voicing lines and printing lines are processed differently in the script, so while printing additional petnames or lines is very straightforward, having the script pull the correct voice file becomes more tricky. I thought I could use the same logic as in the boundaries loop, but it's actually going to be a completely different set of functions.

I started this project because of my love of creative writing. I enjoy creating Daisy's story and I greatly prefer writing additional kinky scenes over updating the settings menu. However, both definitely need to get done. I'll probably continue updating the UI as I go, but I'd like to release more NSFW scenes and story scenes in the meantime.

Originally, I had written out a petplay scene and genital humilation scene as they were popular kinks I saw a lot of love for in the femdom community. I'm also more of a sadistic/controlling domme in real life, so I thought 'hehe, win-win I can write more mean dominatrix scenes'.
As it turns out, petplay isn't as popular with my community. I'll still develop and release my current scenes, but I'd like to release more bullying/obedience training scenes for my fans! I've written out a scene with a boss hiring a new personal assistant, so I hope you enjoy it.

As far as downloading the game goes, my original idea was to leave the game's demo in-browser and allow my Patreons to download the game to play whenever they wish (with additional content available only for my Patreons, ofc). I was going to update the UI in one big patch and release the downloadable version at that time, but the UI will now be slowly patched in order to allow me to return to what I love about developing this game. In light of that, I'll have a downloadable version of Doting Dominatrix available for my Patreons very soon, with a dev update that indicates what has changed from the in-browser version. However, I do want you to keep in mind that because the game is still in it's infancy, game saves are likely to be corrupted between releases. This is not something we are able to avoid while we actively update the game.
