South Park Season 10 Episode 3 "Cartoon Wars Part 1" Full Length Reaction

i agree 100%. it is very relevant to these episodes. But Super Best Friends isn't a really good episode, it's decent. So i don't blame people for not recommending it and in consequence they not knowing about it. And i think they should be asking the SP fans more about the order on what to watch. Or at least have more transparency on their schedule of their next episodes before they watch it. so we can educate them to change things. i'm not saying they should watch it all in chronology for now on. And spontaneity is great, but it has its consequences like the infamous "Ass Burgers" incident. That we would all love to forget.

This two-parter worked best had you guys seen "Super Best Friends" first. There was ABSOLUTELY no controversy back then about showing Muhammad. Nothing. Nil . Zilch. NO ONE cried, no one whined, no one complained. Then 9/11 happened. Then the Charlie Hebdo attack in January 2015, an attack in response to the satirical magazine's publication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, which are considered blasphemous by many Muslims, and for some reason they chose that time for endless protests in that part of the world because of a fucking cartoon. Two brothers stormed the Paris offices of the magazine headquarters and murdered 11 people, including five of its cartoonists, before killing a police officer outside. SO South Park was tempting fate vacillating as a joke showing the cartoon depiction of Muhammad only for this time for certain people to complain, when they didn't cry about "Super Best Friends." The punchline is in the hypocrisy, like in the current season.

The beef is absolutely real. Here's the commentary track where Matt and Trey basically explain in plain english why they don't respect the writers of Family Guy: https://youtu.be/FQ7XVH0UAfE?t=560 When asked his opinion in a TV interview about Matt & Trey, Seth McFarlane said "Those guys can go to hell."
