And oh yeah, the scene that was creeping you guys out with Cartman, that is straight out of "My Neighbor Totoro." Pretty ridiculous and funny if you catch the reference right away. The song when they're flying might be a parody of something else, wish I knew what it was, can't win them all.

2025-02-16 09:40:13 +0000 UTCH. P. Lovecraft (1890–1937), kinda like Edgar Allan Poe and kinda like Stephen King, of his time, he introduced us to eldritch horror. His works depict the Old Ones, Cthulhu being the most pop culture famous, and many other crazy cosmic dieties. Lovecraftian horror entities, cosmic horror, things that the mind cannot comprehend and would drive you mad when confronted. A theme in his books is the cults of followers, influenced as if possessed by the horror gods to do their bidding. My favorite game on the Gamecube, "Eternal Darkness," introduced me to that genre of horror, and it was inspired by that lore in amazing ways that has some truly unique game mechanics, never mind the crazy storyline that spans centuries and was a work of art in video game form.
