I dont know why, but I get the feeling that Armstrong is @DarkAshtar's type...😅
(She is great though, won't argue about that)

Obligatory "still learning new things from this great anime" post.
Literally never realized this. I'm dumbfounded. Yet, at the same time, it feels kind of cool that Arakawa was confident enough in the subtlety of her writing that she never calls it out within dialogue. It's like a horrific landmine, waiting for just this kind of situation.

The introduction of the human/chimera hybrids makes the story of Nina even sadder. All of Shou Tucker's research was completely trivial in comparison to what the military was already doing in secret. They probably just let him be a state alchemist in the hopes he'd get desperate/curious enough to try human transmutation and become a sacrifice.

OG Fullmetal has a lot of different origin stories than Brotherhood. Both amazing in their own rights but Brotherhood is a iconic masterpiece of a remake.

Yousike's origins are covered in the first anime series, but Brotherhood adds on all the after first encounter. But yeah I still say Olivier Mira Armstrong is totally my type lol,
