Been recently on a decline
Added 2023-08-30 21:10:44 +0000 UTCI noticed that when it comes to my English channel on YouTube, it doesn't get many views (compared to subscribers and to what I used to get) and I also abrely get comments.
While this looks really bad when you take a look at my channel, I try not to focus too much on numbers. I myself don't watch every asmr video from every channel that Im subscribed to and i don't always leave comments, so I get that. Ive been trying to find a reason for all of it tho.
Every creator has ups and downs and maybe that's just it, and eventually it will be better, as it was before. Hopefully that's the case, it's just very hard to find out what video people want and then repeating it.
That's all, that's my thoughts :)

YouTube is super complex and really hard to perform well on consistently compared to other social platforms. It’s estimated only about 5-10% of subscribers will actually watch your videos on average. So don’t feel too bad when you see the view number is lower than your subscriber count. 2023-08-31 02:02:04 +0000 UTCto be honest it's always hard to pinpoint why a channel isn't doing as well as it did at some point. But I have to notice that videos from a few months ago that had more thumbnails with feet in them did better lol. It's important to prioritize what you want here, do you want to focus on views, content quality, or passion? That will help you determine where to go from there. To focus on views, you should go for what you know gets clicks. To focus on quality, emphasize what your current viewers enjoy most and give the best positive feedback about. To focus on passion, just do what you enjoy, that comes the most naturally. I suggest a good mix of all three :)

To be honest, a lot of the time I'm only watching videos on here now. I feel like YouTube overall is slowly dying thanks to Tiktok.

2023-08-30 22:33:07 +0000 UTCNo no, im not reffering to the old channel. Tbh, the old channel wasn't pulling many views and I remember that exactly. Only mouth sounds videos were gaining views, other videos weren't (almost just like now haha). I'm comparing it to the views i had 2 months ago :)

2023-08-30 22:30:16 +0000 UTCHe had an old channel and it was big. I’m an OG lol. It was new at the time and people liked the mysterious vibe because he always wore a mask. The channel disappeared but he’s back. So I think that’s what he’s talking about.
