21 February message: Since the creation of this patreon, the website has transformed into something better. We added a bunch of new stuff and fixed alot of bugs. BUT, we hit a wall. The website was created by me, some friends and a bunch of freelancers (some scammers overcharging) so the code is all over the place. Basically spaghetti code. So it is getting harder and harder to add new stuff without slowing down the website. But worry not, I have the perfect solution. A COMPLETE REBUILD!
Yes, a complete rebuild of the website done by an actual US coding company. No random people or me trying stuff out. Actual programmers who do this for a living and who work in a legit company.
I have to say upfront, this will not be like when we transferred from myhentaicomics to myhentaigallery. This time, we will keep the name myhentaigallery and build around our current database, so no data is lost like accounts, comments and favorites.
We will stay as close to the original as possible while adding a ton of new features and options, optimizing the website's speed for mobile and desktop and all around improvements on all our current features and such.
When I say a ton of new features, I mean like a fuck ton of new features. I have asked around about the prices for such a rebuild and OMG, it is so expensive so it is better to add everything we want and make them toggle able in the admin area.
A week before hiring a company, there will be a post so everybody can give suggestions for new features or ideas for improvements. I'm really excited for this!

And I hope you continue on this journey with me. My goal is to have the least annoying hentai website with the biggest collection of comics.

Unfortunately, I had a falling out with the coder who added the download option and I've been looking into it myself. It is happening for a very very few of comics. Like out of the thousands, this happens for a few dozen at most. Strange part is that there is no logs or explanation why it skips those images. I'm really sorry about that but I hope to fix and improve on the downloads during rebuild.

I want to use them to avoid comics, but "gay" and "gay but girls" are way too broad to exclude comics based on them. Otherwise are "following tags/artists" and "exclude tags" the features i look forward to the most. I would also love to see more categories like a tag for a gallery that is just three pictures with different amounts of cum, or a tag or even blue mark for censored comics so theyre easier to avoid.

Yes I agree it would be stressful towards the server but what if it was a reward for one of the higher tiers on the patreon I like to throw out my ideas because I sometimes think of some good things as for the "cummunities" yes like a forum so to speak just something for everyone to share and talk about there favorite comics in the specific tag thread that they are in I do understand that having a "thread/forum" for each tag might be a tad much but I do wanna see the site grow and flourish I wanna see it blossom into something amazing and I believe it will the patreon was the first step of mhgs journey and I'm glad to be apart of it I wanna help as much as I can to help the growth of mhg and I will keep posting ideas whenever I think of them I appreciate you and everyone else who are apart of this amazing community βΊοΈβ€οΈβΊοΈ

This is doable but it will need mods for sure. I'll add this to the list above as this is a good idea for the future. As for the home screen customization, this is a cool idea for sure but I am going to be really honest. Like if I did that only for you, no problem but imagine every user customizing their home screen. It will take alot of computing power which I really cannot afford right now. Why do you not just bookmark the gender bending tag and crossdressing tag. No need to visit the home page, just click the bookmark and the newest comics of the tag will show up first. This is basically the same without using extra server resources.

2023-08-10 19:26:59 +0000 UTCI was thinking today and what about customizing ones home screen like say someone wants to have certain tags show up first let's say I'd like gender bender and crossdressing comics show up before the rest of the new comics and not sure if everyone would like this but how about tag cummunities kinda like a reddit thread that people on mhg could have discussions and share their love for the selected tag "I typed cummunities instead of communities cause it's perfect lol"

That way, I'll manually elevate mhg accounts to higher tiers. This is not mandatory though, you can support without giving me your username if you want. It's really up to you if you want the features when they are available
