Pretty bad news - what happened on P*treon now happens on Fanbox
Added 2022-11-20 18:09:07 +0000 UTCHello dear Fans, Tsurugi put my attention to this. It looks like I have to remove all content from my fanbox until December 15th. Fanbox message is pretty clear: "pixiv Inc. will be updating the Service Master Terms of Use on Thursday, December 15th, 2022. This update applies to certain transactions on BOOTH, pixivFANBOX, the pixiv Requests feature, etc. This is a very important update, so we are explaining it in advance to all our users, and we ask our users to take action accordingly, as detailed below. ■ Regarding transactions for items Many transactions take place on BOOTH, pixivFANBOX, and the pixiv Requests feature. Some were found to violate the pixiv Terms of Use, Article 14 "Prohibited Conduct", Item 26 "Using the Services to display, sell, purchase, register, or engage in other transactions involving the products set forth below". Furthermore, the rules or policies of Brand Protection for Card Networks transactions for content that is patently offensive, unethical, or promote criminal activity; such as, by way of example and not limitation: ・Sexual exploitation of a minor ・Incest ・Bestiality ・Rape (or any other non-consensual sexual behavior) ・Non-consensual mutilation of a person or body part Under the Service Master Terms of Use, we ask that all users check for items that include the above content on BOOTH, pixivFANBOX, and the pixiv Requests feature, and if such content is found, delete the items or set them to private. ■ Terms of Use update for December 15th, 2022 We will be updating Article 14 "Prohibited Conduct", Item 26 "Using the Services to display, sell, purchase, register, or engage in other transactions involving the products set forth below", in order to clarify the standards for items and content that fall under prohibited transactions. The updated Terms of Use will be revealed in late November, and go into effect on Thursday, December 15th. If you are concerned about whether your content is prohibited or not, please check the new Terms of Use when they are revealed in late November. If you find content that is prohibited on BOOTH, pixivFANBOX, and the pixiv Requests feature, please delete the items or set them to private before the update goes into effect on Thursday, December 15th. If we discover transactions for prohibited content after Thursday, December 15th, the items containing the prohibited content will be set to private. Furthermore, users who repeatedly conduct transactions for prohibited content after the new measures are in place will have their accounts suspended. pixiv aims to protect freedom of expression, and respecting the content of work is an important part of our policy. We have updated our Terms because we believe that maintaining a safe environment for all user transactions is a part of supporting that policy. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation." Indeed, Subscribestar lacks a payment method for people in Asia such as China and Japan, and Fantia has its own points as payment content like DLsite, but it is not convenient for users in Europe and the United States. Therefore, DLsite should be the most suitable platform for releasing finished games (with translation software, Please understand if there is any confusion)

2022-11-21 23:31:00 +0000 UTCI would advise to go with Discord for Updates and DLSite for Payed Content. Subscribestar is only Accessible with Credit Card, wich makes it unaccesseble for most People on this Planet. Credit Cards are just a promenent Feature in the US and with richer People. You will loose a lot of Paying People with that. Fantia is a hot Mess as well. Realy only Accessible for Japanese as far as i know. Mostly because everthing Important is written in Japanese. Mostly with Credit Card as well. Subscribestar and Fantia might go the same way patreon and now PIXIVFanbox goes because of this dependency on Credit Cards. DLSite utilizes a paiment Option with their own Point System wich goes with 1 Point=1 Yen. You can pay for these Points with regular and safe Means like PayPal. And Discord is the Wild West for now. So relatively safe to Post Heavy Stuff with. My two Cents on that.

2022-11-21 13:08:33 +0000 UTCThis is a joke. What is the freedom of expression? To remove all adult contents?

2022-11-21 04:29:07 +0000 UTCThis is probably due to the pressure that credit card companies are putting on Pixiv. Paid content like Fanbox is affected. Try putting paid content on DLsite or Fantia. Fantia's sponsorship format is similar to Fanbox's, with a monthly fee. DLsite is more like Steam, but with fewer restrictions.DLsite also has a number of R18 indie game authors publishing their work.(Since I am not good at English, I used the translation software, so there may be some problems, please understand)

2022-11-21 00:05:08 +0000 UTCDamn.... as others have said, please consider Subscribestar and Discord. Would be a waste to loose all your content.

2022-11-20 23:23:28 +0000 UTCBrutal. Time to make a discord, at least that's still relatively safe to communicate.
2022-11-20 20:26:45 +0000 UTCDont think so, since its under the term of card payment and content restrictions, just like they did on Patreon.
