Baldi's Basics Plus version 0.13 Pre-release is available now!
Added 2025-10-28 01:06:50 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
Here is the pre-release for version 0.13! Windows and Linux builds are attached to this post. Download and extract them to play! I will hopefully get the MacOS build uploaded soon as well. Since I'm releasing this later in the day than usual, I wanted to get these out ASAP. I recently got a new Mac Book (My previous one was no longer supported), but I haven't tried signing builds on it yet, so there may be some delays. Either way I didn't want to let the MacOS version delay the others!
As mentioned in the previous status update, this update adds stickers! Stickers can be found and then applied to the back of the You Can Think Pad (YCTP, your map) to activate unique effects.
The structure of stickers as found in this pre-release is as follows:
Collect sticker packets from Baldi by completing activities, buy them from Johnny's store, or win them from field trips.
Sticker packets collected in levels are not opened immediately. You will have to open them using the Packet-O-Matic in the pit stop, or by finding and using some safety scissors.
Watch out! Unopened packets will be lost if you lose a round!
Once you have opened sticker packets, you will find all the stickers you've collected on the back of the YCTP. You can access this screen by opening the advanced map and clicking on the arrow button on the lower right of the screen, or by pressing a new button which will open the sticker screen directly (The "N" key by default).
Click a sticker to pick it up, and then place it on one of the four slots to apply it. If you place a sticker on top of another, it will override whichever one was there.
You can apply stickers at any time, both while playing a level and while in the pit stop. In fact, certain stickers can only be applied in the pit stop, so be sure to check them before entering a new level!
That covers the basics! Please note that this structure is still subject to change however. To be honest, this is the first time I've felt uncertain about whether or not a new feature is being implemented in the best way possible. There are many potential design issues that I feel could result from this implementation, such as
If Baldi drops stickers when activities are completed, will this encourage players to wait around in every class room for Baldi to show up to easily grab the sticker? This could encourage boring strategies.
If stickers can be applied at any moment, will this break up the flow of gameplay too much? Will players stop too frequently to change their sticker setup?
These are just a couple concerns I have at the moment. There have been a lot of other concerns that I've had that I've tried addressing in one way or another, but ultimately I hope you all will help out by being honest with your feedback! If the current implementation isn't fun or encourages boring strategies, I want to know!
I should also mention that there are still some unfinished parts of this feature. Endless mode doesn't properly support stickers yet, and there is absolutely no balancing! All the stickers have the same likelihood of appearing, so it may be pretty easy to get some overpowered sticker combinations. Some sound effects are missing, there's no tutorial yet, there's some missing instructions, etc.
I will try to have everything sorted out in time for the public release next week. For now, I hope you all will have fun experimenting with this new feature! Again, I'm hoping to get a lot of feedback, and I'm also open to ideas on how stickers might be able to be implemented better!
A few notes about the pre-release:
Please be mindful of spoilers! It is a-okay to share photos and video of the pre-release, this isn't meant to be a big secret, but please do so in a way that people who want to be surprised by new stuff can easily avoid getting spoiled. For example, please don't put pictures of new content in thumbnails. Once this update has been released publicly, don't worry about spoilers.
The pre-releases will use a separate save location from the main game. You can manually copy existing saves over to the pre-release save location if you'd like to use an existing save.
I will most likely only release patches for pre-releases if any super serious bugs are found. Otherwise bug fixes will be saved for the public release version.
I do not have a changelog ready at the moment. I will post one when the public release goes live. Have fun discovering what's new!
Please do not post these builds publicly anywhere, they are meant for Patrons only. That said, I certainly won't mind if people share them amongst close friends who cannot become paid members for any reason.
Known issues:
Sticker packets cannot be opened in endless mode without getting lucky and finding safety scissors. The stickers you get in endless mode are limited to a select few.
Missing sound effects for stickers and related features.
Placeholder assets in safe room.
No balancing for how rare each sticker is.
This being a pre-release, bugs new and old are likely! Please let me know of any new bugs you encounter by commenting below or sending me an email.
Thanks, and have fun!

2025-11-06 21:34:44 +0000 UTCOne bug I found, I didn't test this in the other challenges, but in the speedy challenge, I saw 2 sticker packets in the hallway, and they weren't grabbable. I assume they aren't supposed to be there because it's only 1 floor and there are no scissors to open them with. Edit: This also happens in the grapple challenge as well

2025-11-03 01:58:35 +0000 UTCI am in favor of rarity of stickers. I am not in favor of the idea of removing stickers for a winning floor. Would that mean we are being punished for achieving the game's goal? For example, a sticker that increases Baldi's counting time should be rare, while those YTP-style bonuses should be basic.

2025-10-31 16:44:44 +0000 UTCThis is a very cool update, probably the most fun because it opens up a lot of doors for diversity in games, strategies and what not, but I did notice some minor bugs I wanna talk about: I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but the Safety Scissors lost its use against Playtime, I tried to stop Playtime using it, but it kinda did nothing. Another thing I noticed is that when you have a full inventory, you can't collect sticker packages. You'll have to open up a slot in the inventory in order to get the sticker package. Since the stickers don't really have an effect on inventory, I suggest adding a little sub-inventory below or next to the main inventory to tell the player that they got a sticker package! I think this is a great addition to the game and it'll certainly make it more whacky and fun.

2025-10-30 13:31:52 +0000 UTC- I found out that stickers do not funtion in the Tutorial at all. Buying them in the tutorial doesn't work. And as the first comment says. I feel like Safety Scissors should have their old functionality and the new one

2025-10-30 12:18:39 +0000 UTCAfter playing this pre-release quite a bit, here's my feedback: - Baldi giving stickers incentives dilly-dallying and allows you to rack up an insane sticker collection. Somebody else suggested them being changed to bonus question and student rewards, which I think would be a lot less obtrusive while still allowing players to get tons of them if they want. - Safety Scissors should have their old functionality as well as the new one. It's cool that they have a unique use not shared by other items, but it isn't really significant enough to be worth removing its other uses. If the old uses were kept and this new one was added on top of them, I think the item would be a lot better and perhaps wouldn't need to be removed? - Finally, some of the stickers seem far too weak to be worth taking. Ear Muffs is too random and Shadow doesn't seem to work very well. I had two of them at some point and I couldn't tell any difference in where I was able to hide. Other than those, though, this update seems really fun! I've seen a lot of complaints about 1 Minute Limit being easier with Hourglass, but that challenge was far too difficult for its own good, so having a way to tackle it at the cost of not being able to use other stickers is pretty cool.

2025-10-30 05:04:38 +0000 UTCAfter further play, I do think switching sticker packs mid round is generally kind of useless, so I don't think removing the ability would effect balance too much EDIT: Maybe you could remove safety scissors and instead make the cut-o-matic appear in levels super rarely like the payphone? Or even make a quarter activated version if you still wish it to be a limited use

2025-10-30 00:02:50 +0000 UTCIdeas!!! To prevent sticker bloat, Baldi can only spawn a sticker if the previous one was collected, otherwise the old sticker pack will be teleported to Baldi. Make the Bus Pass a permanent item like Stickers. Unrelated but It's a Bully has been particularly annoying by stealing it! And you can't get it back in strict mode.

2025-10-29 23:14:41 +0000 UTCI feel like people are giving more feedback for an update than usual, I guess that makes sense considering that this is a pretty major new feature. So first I will say that I do like the update, the upgrade system was something I was waiting for a while now, and it looks very promising, but it's also pretty rough around the edges right now. Just like many other people, I have a problem with how Baldi drops a sticker each time an activity is correctly solved. I don't really do the 'waiting for Baldi' strategy unless he's really close, but the other way of playing also doesn't seem fun, where you have to go around in circles around map to try and find where Baldi left the stickers, the students and shape key locks already added quite a bit of going back and forth in a level, but this is starting to feel like it's too much. Speaking of the students and shape key locks, I do think that the idea of students giving those and being in the loot table for locked rooms is interesting and should be considered. As for Baldi, yeah I think scarpping the idea of him giving, or at least being the primary source of stickers might be one of the better solutions, and giving something else this status. Maybe making it so that activities spawn a sticker pack in place of notebooks for answering bonus questions? This could also solve the issue of how no stickers are rewarded before the countdown ends. As for the stickers themselves, I've had fun so far messing with the effects a bit and trying out some combinations even if they are pretty simple (at least for now), but I do have complaints about some of these, like how it feels weird how the Exploration Bonus works when the map fill is bought, basically being just free YTPs, the Shadow sticker is also very underwelming because of how bright the levels are, and especially Ear Muffs being very unreliable due to being luck based, especially with how many sounds the player constantly makes. For Ear Muffs specifically, maybe reworking it at some point would be better, maybe doing something like weakening Baldi's incredible hearing by giving him a hearing radius, so he can't hear sounds that are too far away from him, with the radius shrinking as more of the same sticker is applied, something like that would eliminate the rng and would probably be more fun to be honest (I hope that this suggestion isn't too specific). If you want to commit to the original function, maybe buff it to 20% per sticker because right now it's one of the worst ones in the game. Buying things in Johnny's store in a level also affects the YTPs earned at the end of a level, it's easy to end up with negative YTPs, that probably is unintentional, just like the map for level 3 costing 100 YTPs and all unopened sticker packs being opened when entering the next level (maybe this one is intentional). Some smaller things I want to mention is that the sticker select screen should be cleaned up a little to prevent it from looking cluttered when a player has a not of unapplied stickers, and that the 'Sticker Bonus' and 'Power Bonus' texts in the results screen should be swapped, so that it's easier to tell that the YTPs from sticker effects are also multiplied by the Power Bonus. Also is the grade system really scrapped? That's kinda unfortunate if it is. Last thing I wanna do is a text only tier list, I think that could help decide the weight for some stickers or other balacing stuff. It's not a solid tier list though, it's been only 2 days, and I still need to experiment some more. S - Backpack A - Reach Extender, "Great Job", Time Bonus B - Exploration Bonus, Stamina Boost, Hourglass, Countdown, Safe Room, Distance Bonus, Stealthy, You Thought Points Multiplier C - Elevator Gears, Door Stop D - Signal Boost, Sticker Bonus F - Ear Muffs, Shadow, Cash Register That's all I have to say for now, when the issues get ironed out, I think the stickers might become one of my favourite things in the game. I give the update a chocolate cake, no numbers, just cake. Go ahead, eat the cake.

2025-10-29 22:13:56 +0000 UTCScissors should be able to open stickers, cut Beans' Gum, cut Playtimes rope, and cut 1st prize's wires to spin him out. I don't know if the functions were broken or removed, but without any of the extra cutting benefits it makes the scissors somewhat useless and gives less variety when it comes to defensive items.

2025-10-29 19:28:53 +0000 UTCI have 4 options for what could be done with the scissors: 1. Prevent them from disappearing from your inventory when unpacking. 2. Make scissors appear in the sticker menu on the interface (if you have them in your inventory), and allow you to unpack stickers from the menu itself. 3. Simply restore the old functions and make them prioritized. Like, if you're caught be Playtime, it will take priority, or if you're looking at the 1st prize, it will take priority, etc. 4. Remove this function and make the "sticker unpacking machine" appear in Johnny's shop. This would solve the unpacking issue in Endless Mode, and in Hidden End Seek, you'll only be able to unpack stickers if you have a sticker with a shop generator installed. In fact, I didn't even know that the scissors had lost their previous functions and I think it's just a bug

2025-10-29 17:34:40 +0000 UTCI think this is solid for the pre-release, however, I have some gripes with it. 1. Baldi dropping sticker packets upon completing an activity. I just don't think Baldi should drop sticker packets at all after completing an activity. It can lead to the player having way too many sticker packets and can encourage grindy gameplay, I think that feature should be removed entirely. 2. Safety scissor change I really don't like the change made to the safety scissors, they're almost completely useless now. They only open sticker packets when you're in a level now (which is an issue I also have and will mention), and their previous use is just gone. I think it should be able to do both it's previous uses and new use, since if it were to just be it's previous use, the player wouldn't be able to open the sticker packets in endless, unless you put the packet-o-matic somewhere in endless mode (I'm an endless mode fan). 3. Being able to apply stickers in hide and seek levels I really don't like how you can also apply stickers during hide and seek levels, that would lead to the gameplay flow being broken up too much and being able to do that would be too overpowered, I believe the player should only be able to apply stickers in the pitstop. I feel like the only way the player should only be able to apply stickers in a level would be endless mode. 4. The hourglass stickers affecting the 1 minute limit challenge This one's simple, it mostly defeats the purpose of said challenge. I suggest the hourglass sticker just shouldn't be obtainable at all if the 1 minute limit challenge is activated. Miscellaneous. -The tutorial has the stickers there, but not the counter where they are, I'm pretty sure that's not suppose to happen. -The water fountains in the floor 1 classrooms you mentioned adding in episode 5 of your podcast were not added, leaving the issue of not getting stamina from the floor 1 classrooms still present. That's pretty much it for the feedback I have, hope this gets noticed.

2025-10-29 10:47:09 +0000 UTCMy opinion on stickers: After a couple of games in V0.13, I can say that stickers are a nice addition to the game, but I have one comment. While playing, I was trying to collect as many stickers as possible, which meant I was constantly taking a route that wasn't planned or advantageous for me, leading Baldi to catch me more often than before. After realizing this problem, I decided to forget about stickers and only collect them when they were along my route. I wouldn't say this is a negative, but it does diminish the value of the stickers. Perhaps for inexperienced players, stickers will help them get through more difficult floors (4 or 5), but for experienced players, these stickers aren't particularly important, as they can easily complete the game without them, and collecting stickers can distract players from their intended goal. My conclusion: stickers are a nice addition to the game, but they can distract from the main goal — collecting notebooks. This system could be improved. For example, to prevent Baldi from giving us stickers for every correct solution, and to indicate that he's about to give one, he could say (after the usual praise) something like, "Come here and get your prize!". This would solve the strategic problem of requiring players to wait for Baldi to get close before solving a problem. I also forgot to add that there are TOO MANY stickers to find throughout the game, so I think this change could balance out their number a bit. I'd also like to add that it would be cool if the Stealthy sticker also worked on doors with cameras. I'd also like to add that the map to the 3rd floor costs 100 instead of 1000 for some reason. Next, I'd like to ask Mystman to add pre-release versions 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6 to Patreon, if he has the option. I'm just collecting versions, and my collection is missing these three versions (my Baldi folder is literally 55GB). I don't distribute these versions anywhere; I'm just collecting them for emergencies, like if the end of the world happens and the internet goes down, I'll have all the Baldi versions and I won't die of boredom.

2025-10-29 10:45:42 +0000 UTCThe new update is really good! The new stickers are good and they change alot of the game! The way they work are great and i am excited for this new update! The issue i have is you can not replace the stickers with the stickers that you like because when i try to replace my sticker with newer, it got fully removed, it would better if you would get stickers from students when you find item for them, sure the points are good reward but the new sticker pack works well! There is a bug in the tutorial where there is gonna be sticker packs but you can not buy them or get them and plus there is no table for it. Also the new map generation is weird where there are hallways that lead to nowhere. That said : This update may be my favorite update by far! I like how this is gonna change the game this much with new effects! Overall 9.5/10 Update!

2025-10-29 10:45:36 +0000 UTCgonna be real, i feel like seeing as baldi drops sticker packs on floor 1 whenever you collect a notebook, it encourages a lot of waiting around for baldi to finish counting so you can immediately grab all the notebooks and then scoop up the sticker packs. also, not a fan of how collecting an activity-less notebook makes baldi praise you. would make more sense if he did that once ALL activity-less notebooks were collected.

2025-10-29 10:08:24 +0000 UTCI very much enjoy the new stickers! I think they offer an exciting new angle to gameplay and I’m excited to play with them more. I will say, I think the way you obtain them is a little odd. Baldi dropping the stickers upon a correct answer sort of forces the player to either 1: wait for Baldi to get close enough to nab a sticker. OR, 2: require them to double back and circle around the school to get them. I think either way this grinds the pace to a halt. It also leads to having an overabundance of stickers by either floor 3 or floor 4. Often times by the time I hit floor 4 I have so many stickers I don't even know what to do with them. I feel this diminishes the importance of them -- it makes them feel less special. I think the method of collection should require the player to have to actively seek them out. Like for example, maybe finding lost items for the students could reward you with a sticker perhaps? As for the safety scissors — I appreciate how most items in the game are multi-purpose; so while I appreciate the new functionality, I think removing its other uses is the wrong choice. I am also not a fan of the changes to the map generation. I have on multiple occasions found weird nonsensical hallways that lead nowhere. With all that said, I’m really excited for the full update release!! Thank you for reading!

2025-10-29 04:10:51 +0000 UTCBonus: Super late feedback on Timer, but I feel like there shouldn't be a time limit on the 1st floor. 2025-10-29 04:00:33 +0000 UTCHonestly, I see the stickers not just power ups, but different ways or preference of how different people has different tastes or ways to play the game if the stickers are common. I feel like there's already common hard obstacles or levels so there's should be common stickers to help as resources. The game itself is already super hard, in a good way, that I feel like common stickers the way it is helps keep balance and provide different options in game rather than having a menu option on how a player would like to play a game.

I made a showcase video on it so you can see it in action, since it's not easy to explain, but in short (literally just from the YouTube description), if you have Johnny's Store on a floor, spend YTPs on items in the store, and don't get equivalent or over the amount of YTPs you spend, the amount of YTPs that you earn will be NEGATIVE, which causes you to LOSE points, and enter debt. https://youtu.be/bEZl-ZQQpVs This is both funny and really annoying.

2025-10-28 22:58:39 +0000 UTCOk, so I figured out the virus thing and downloaded the pre-release. I really like the stickers, but sad to see the safety scissors character uses go bye bye. I know I said in the last podcast post that that were useless anyways and that I never needed to use them, but I had some great memories with that item. They saved me from Bean’s gum many times, but this is probably where the stickers come in to play and help me avoid those characters like or even better than the safety scissors.

2025-10-28 22:18:13 +0000 UTCMy opinion on the stickers (WIP): Shadow: You aren't going to find many (or any at all in certain runs) dark places just brighter than the maximum darkness that this sticker will make hideable. Even if you do, they'll most likely be right by maximally dark tiles, so this sticker isn't very good. Signal Boost: It has a cool effect on the map. You can reveal nearby rooms without having to enter them and open their doors, and sometimes areas on the map that you don't actually go near, like if you're in a hallway and, technically, a classroom is by you, but the Dijkstra map says you're still pretty far from it. Overall, I think it's a pretty good sticker. Exploration Bonus: I think it's very good, if not OP. Floors are pretty big, and going into a room reveals several tiles, which means a bunch of YTPs. The big room will get you quite a lot on its own. The hallways aren't as good as the rooms in getting YTPs. Also, wouldn't purchasing a full map automatically lead to getting maximum YTPs from this sticker without actually exploring all of the floor? Door Stop: At first, I thought adding 10 seconds to the doors closing was too much, thinking it should be more like 3, but I played it, and I think 3 wouldn't be enough. In fact, the 10 are pretty reasonable, allowing you to get in a room that an NPC entered first without making a noise. Plus, if you want to reenter a room, the door will most likely be still open, allowing you to get back in without the door making noise. EDIT: Actually, maybe 5 seconds could be good, to encourage stacking multiple.

2025-10-28 22:08:36 +0000 UTCI really love this sticker upgrade system, they're definitely a gamechanger. But as far as that goes, I don't think they should be obtainable in the first couple of floors because, at least in the game's current state, they're not really needed on them and make them way too easy and wouldn't really give new players a chance to see how the game plays without the stickers.

2025-10-28 21:29:45 +0000 UTCSo, after playing for a bit, Stickers are good but they need some big core changes: Stickers can now carry over between runs, but only ones you havent equipped. That would make finding them and collecting them feel way better and have more impact, without hopefully hurting early game too much. Firstly, Baldi can only give you a sticker on the last actvity you do in a floor, but will drop 2 in that place. For field trips, you can only get stickers if you maunally do the field trip, to give you like 3 of the, while the Bus Pass would give 1 sticker. You could readd the the grade/timer score, and maybe rewards several stickers based on scores, or if you get the highest one with low time. Could also tie it into other characters, such as Students, where doing all students on a floor can give you a sticker, and myabe locked behind the key door rooms as well. Could also praobly put the new Sccissor machine in levels itself as well, but maybe only in risky rooms like the Princpials office. Another idea is make it so Baldi can still give stickers, but only by answering bounus questions, so its alot more high risk. There needs to be less YTP stickers, they are kinda bad and just take space, unless they can come with an extra effect with it.

2025-10-28 19:29:04 +0000 UTCGonna give my review of the prerelease since I have a lot of thoughts! I guess I’ll start with my opinions on the system as a whole. I like the action of swapping out stickers as you continue your run, it provides the exact kind of progression that this game has lacked so far. With that said though, there are a lot of issues with the obtaining of stickers. To start with, getting them from Baldi is a cool idea on paper, but in practice there are several problems Problem 1: It encourages slow play. Waiting for Baldi to show up next to activities is really slow and boring. While technically it is risky later on. For the first few notebooks it’s basically free and kinda stupid not to do. This leads to the first floor being a slow, “ring around the rosie” type game with Baldi which just isn’t fun. Or the first few notebooks on later floors being the same thing. Problem 2: They don’t disappear. This does lead to some interesting strategies, such as grabbing a bunch of notebooks right after Baldi finishes counting so that they all appear conveniently near an exit to grab later. But this strategy means waiting for Baldi to stop counting before doing anything which still isn’t fun. It also adds to Problem 3: You get too many. Even if you don’t try to strategize at all, enough stickers get left around that you’ll usually find at least 4 packs per level. That and the fact they’re all lower tier stickers, (which makes sense) leads to you having way too many cruddy stickers, and a lot of repeats. This causes the sticker menu to be hard to use and look really ugly. I get that the idea is to encourage swapping out stickers regularly, but I still think you get too many, even if the menu was improved. (Such as adding a scroll bar, or sorting the stickers into multiple rows.) Overall, this whole mechanic is flawed. It’s not very strategic, slow, tedious, and not very satisfying. You could improve it by having the packs disappear after a while, or maybe have Baldi drop packs every couple of correct answers, with a longer pause where he says “Come here and get your prize!” But I feel like there are much better ways to earn sticker packs mid level then this system. For example, Students could give you sticker packs when returning lost items. I already felt they weren't worth the hassle beforehand, (Answering bonus questions is far easier and more consistent.) and with the added YTPs from stickers, there’s even less incentive to go for them. You could also add a sticker vending machine, more things to spend quarters on is always nice! Perhaps you could change the mystery room to giving sticker packs instead of items to distinguish it more from the party event. It doesn’t really matter which method you use, the point is the current mid-level system is kinda awkward and not very fun. I also think the sticker packs from the shop and field trips are kinda mishandled. Just buying the standard sticker packs for 500 YTPs feels kinda lame. Even if they have a different pool, wouldn’t it be more fun to see which sticker you’re getting? You could then price each sticker accordingly instead of leaving it all up to chance. Even if you don’t want to show the sticker directly, splitting them up into different packs would work much better. I.e. green for common, silver for uncommon, and gold for rare. Buying a pack and getting a random sticker is less fun than giving us just a little more control. It’s also a huge missed opportunity to just give the player stickers for beating a field trip, instead of having them join the reward circle. More variance in the rewards is always a good thing, having it just be some high tier items leads to making very similar decisions every time. Increasing the variety of rewards would bring more strategy to it. Now that I’ve covered the structural aspect, I’m gonna go over a couple stickers I think need tweaking. Most obviously, the time and exploration bonuses are completely broken. (Which makes sense in a pre-release.) It barely even warrants mentioning because of how apparent it is. Though with the exploration one in particular, it’s kinda dumb how it still works even when buying the map. Doesn’t that kinda defeat the whole point? Realistically YTP stickers should give 100 - 200 YTPs each, with higher values given to the more difficult to utilize ones. The room stickers are also kinda bad. The safe room is neat but not all that useful, if it came with some items I’d be more inclined to use it. The shop one is really bad. With the green locker, restocking, sticker packs, and the map. You have plenty already to spend YTPs on, and the small benefit of getting them mid level isn’t that appealing. Making all the items go on sale would make it more beneficial to save your YTPs for. It’s also kinda awkward that they can’t be unequipped once used, it’d make more sense for the safe room to lock when unequipped, (It could even have a fun interaction with the Principal's Keys.) and for the store to close when unequipped. (Like how it used to in the beginning of endless mode.) Then there are some of the stealth related stickers. Earmuffs are not very good. A 12.5% chance to mute sounds is just not what stealthy players want. You want a consistent method of hiding from Baldi, not a random one. Even when stacking up 4 copies, you’re still one copinfli[p away from your plan going sour. It would make much more sense for earmuffs to block a specific noise, (such as swinging doors.) Though that doesn’t really stack well. Alternatively, you could have it lower the noise priority of certain noises, (Such as elevators) which would also work better. Shadow makes zero sense to me. I’ve had it equipped on multiple runs and haven’t seen it do anything once. Floors are just too consistently bright for it to matter. Unless you’re on maintenance in which case there are already dark places to hide, or time is out, which is the same thing. I think Shadow should cause certain lights to go out, making new dark places to hide in. Lastly, my biggest problem with the stickers overall is that there isn’t much build diversity, or really any builds at all. They’re mostly stat boosts, which is fine, but there aren’t any unique patterns that emerge from them. What I’m saying is, even with the addition of stickers, my gameplay hasn’t changed much. It’s just kinda a new thing to manage instead of something that makes runs more diverse as I was hoping for. I’m not gonna give any specific suggestions but I’d like to mention some general concepts that I think could improve on this. My number 1 biggest suggestion are stickers that affect certain items. A sticker that buffs the sodas, or timer items, etc. etc. The items you prefer using are the biggest source of gameplay diversity currently, so compounding that with stickers would be awesome. I’d also like stickers that relate to the storage locker, I think there are some really cool ideas to do with it. Lastly, some character related stickers would be cool. It’s kinda awkward since not every character is guaranteed on every run, but I think you could make some generally applicable stickers, or stickers that apply to a whole group of characters. Making NPCs are more helpful then harmful sounds really fun That’s it for my opinions. I’m really excited to see where stickers go, but as of now there implementation is kinda rough. (Which is to be expected of a pre-release.)

2025-10-28 18:51:40 +0000 UTCI have an idea for the stickers it should have "previous" (from at the top) and "next" (at the bottom) buttons to see more stickers since they can't see what they are looking for stickers since there's like way too much more than a less stickers so this would be a struggle to see what they're looking for stickers (nobody has ever struggle before because there's too much stickers to find. This is just an idea so they won't struggle)

2025-10-28 18:21:44 +0000 UTCI really love this pre-release. Here's some notes though: -You can get Elevator Gears in Endless Mode, seems unnecessary, since you already can't leave through elevator -When you replace the stickers, old ones are just gone forever (not sure, if it's intentional) -Elevator sounds are muting the music for some reason (might be my problem only) Other than that, stickers addition is nice! Really enjoyed having fun with it!

It would also make it easier to organize stuff like a long list of issues and ideas.

2025-10-28 15:12:41 +0000 UTCI found a bug! In the tutorial, Johnny sells sticker packs, but there isn't any counter top that it's resting on. The result: Price tags and sticker pack display seemingly floating or sitting on nothing. Also, in addition to this, buying them takes your YTPs and doesn't give you anything. In fact, even completing questions in the tutorial does drop sticker packs too, but you can't pick them up. Here's a screenshot of the first bug in action: https://prnt.sc/_9Vf63EOJ-KF

2025-10-28 14:34:28 +0000 UTCThe concern about waiting for baldi is interesting as it does have the potential to slow gameplay but here's my reasoning as to why it could stay the way it is. Sure, waiting for baldi is slow, but waiting for baldi to enter a room you're in before completing an activity is a strategy that is already used to allow for more distance, so when baldi is already close it's likely changing stickers won't affect that strategy. As for waiting long periods of time, I feel that the time limit itself already does the job of punishing you for waiting along with distance being valuable enough on its own to make a sticker or two not worth giving that up. Waiting for baldi itself might be part of a bigger issue but I wouldn't say stickers add to that problem, they just put more of a spotlight onto it. It is kinda weird that grabbing notebooks counts as an activity now but I suppose floor one needed the nerf now that the later floors have stickers you can use haha Huge fan of what I've played so far!! I'd personally recommend adding more stickers that alter your gameplay style itself instead of ones that solely give YTPs as those ones really show what makes stickers so special.

2025-10-28 12:34:49 +0000 UTCI love this update so much! But I noticed a bit of a problem with one of the stickers (this may apply to more). The gear sticker that removes 1 out of order elevator does not stack, or atleast if you apply it mid run it doesn't. I had one in my applied stickers and then used another one to have two total on a floor with 4 elevators (3 out of order) which meant there should've been only 1 out of order. There were atleast two, I don't know if there were more because then I died (sadnessness). But other than that and a few oversights in some other modes (mainly endless and tutorial where there is no Pack-O-Matic) the update is perfect!

2025-10-28 12:05:59 +0000 UTCIt's really fun, but yeah, your concerns were right. I often found myself waiting for Baldi to come to get the stickers more easily. So yeah, the gameplay is a little bit slower and more boring. Maybe one of the solutions would be a second tray next to where the book appears, where the sticker would appear if we answer correctly without error, instead of appearing directly on Baldi. (I'm not English, but I think my sentence is correct.) Edit: Of course, this is only the case for the first few notebooks because Baldi gets too fast after that, and it's too risky to wait.

2025-10-28 09:05:27 +0000 UTCHonestly I feel like a lot of these changes are either completely arbitrary, or make the stickers in question not worth using, and there are uses for the door stop (baldi can't hear doors opening if they are already open), and the sticker bonuses replace the pre-0.13 time bonus and allow you to focus on other things other than time for getting YTPs. Although I do see your point with the distance bonus.
MissingTextureMeow101
2025-10-28 07:56:17 +0000 UTCI like the way stickers are currently implemented, and I don't feel like Baldi rewarding stickers encourages camping, as that is incredibly risky, especially in later floors, as Baldi will quickly catch up to you if you don't have the distance advantage.
MissingTextureMeow101
2025-10-28 07:16:59 +0000 UTCI feel like the best ways to deal with the two issues are: for number one, make a limit on how much time the can be between entering a classroom and solving it's problem. if this limit is exceeded, Baldi won't drop the sticker. For number two, maybe only let the player change stickers in the safe room or pitstop
Graysen Wilson
2025-10-28 06:59:01 +0000 UTCWith the previous comments I've made, here's some critical feedback I discussed with the BBCL (the Baldi's Basics Challenge List community) that we all thought would be good ideas for the stickers. Feel free to ask for details if needed. Backpack: +1 item slot, but -10% speed. Baldi Praise: Baldi is stalled by +1.5 seconds per activity completion, but gains 25% more anger. Cash Register: Can appear in levels, with cheaper prices, but the pitstop prices are more expensive. Countdown: Baldi takes an additional second per second to count down, but he praises you for -25% longer. Gears: Reduces the amount of elevators needed to exit by -1 each, but you are taxed by 20% of your YTP upon leaving. Hourglass: +20% of the total amount of any timer to all timers. Map Radar (Map Range): Every 60 seconds, pings the map to shortly show all character's positions for 2.5 seconds. However, tiles become undiscovered over time, with the rate of undiscovering tiles increasing with more stickers. Reach: Safe Room [Generation]: A safe space that Baldi can't enter, but Baldi stays nearby. Shadow: -10% dark tile brightness requirement, but Baldi gains speed considerably faster during Lights Out. Silence: Delays the time at which a sound will occur (including what the player hears) by +2 seconds for each. Stamina: +25% stamina, but -25% stamina regeneration rate. Stealth: Keep the same mechanic. YTP Multiplier: Multiplies all YTP by 25%, but increases the speed of the Lights Out timer by 50%. Remove the following: Distance Bonus: Encourages you to stall to wait for Baldi to go away from you. Door Stop: There's no context in which you need a door to be opened for this long. Exploration Bonus: Too many stickers that modify YTP. Sticker Bonus: Too many stickers that modify YTP. Time Bonus Too many stickers that modify YTP. Add the following: Event Showcase: Tells the player what the next event will be, but events happen quicker. Lucky: Increases the odds of getting lucky (item pool quality) by +25%, but world objects spawn 25% more. Powered Up [Generation]: Increases the spawn rates of powered classrooms by 25% while increasing the probability of powered switches to be closer to their target classroom, but decreases the amount of classrooms that can be powered by 1. Principal Leniency: The Principal of the Thing has a shorter guilt timer, but has a shorter detention timer. Character Calamity [Generation]: Adds a random non-integral character, but adds in +20% more notebooks. As a side note, we noticed that the restock button doesn't restock stickers, which seems unintentional. Please consider these changes, and thank you for the ambitious update! I just hope changes are made, so that every run doesn't end up giving like 10k YTP and 5+ apples every single run, without much effort.

2025-10-28 06:14:54 +0000 UTCMost of the strategical gameplay behind stickers is deciding what benefits you want and which ones you don't. Not having the benefits of a particular sticker, or of another sticker you'd have to replace to have that benefit, is the downside.

2025-10-28 04:28:01 +0000 UTCA side note when it comes to stickers, I feel like you should consider having rare modifiers/variants for them, and you should have them be 50/50 in usefulness, where they give a buff and de-buff. This could incur a lot more strategical gameplay, like the game normally is.
Master_64
2025-10-28 04:26:27 +0000 UTCOverall, stickers feel too common. Especially in field trips, I feel like they should be their own sort of item. I feel like most players would like the stickers to be more rare, so that they're more impactful.
Master_64
2025-10-28 04:24:44 +0000 UTCAs specified in this post, I feel like it's too meta to wait on Baldi to give you stickers, due to there being stickers that literally stall him out, which also encourages a single meta, which I'm not a big fan of. Additionally, I feel like stickers are far too easy to get. I think Baldi should only drop packets for bonus questions, not normal questions.
Master_64
2025-10-28 04:20:44 +0000 UTCI feel like picking up notebooks on their own should not be considered an activity (stalling Baldi each time). Makes challenges like Speedy way too easy. Feels like an unnecessary nerf with how the rest of the game plays out already.

2025-10-28 01:41:01 +0000 UTCI can pretty confidently say this is a false positive, which is not uncommon with brand new software. I am seeing this flag as well, however only with the .zip file. Unzipping the download, copying the files and scanning them does not show any issues which means everything should be safe. If you can't figure out how to get your antivirus to allow the file (I don't recommend turning it off entirely) then you may need to wait a little bit for Defender to figure out this download is safe.

2025-10-28 01:19:57 +0000 UTCFor each of your points your worried about. For Baldi, make him give stickers if hes far enough away from the room instead of just when its done. And you could make it so you can only change stickers once every couple of mintutes or something in return
