Dekamara v0.4 Released!

v0.4.01: Mega - Mediafire (No GDrive since it keeps deleting the file)

Hello everyone! Last week, we had to postpone the v0.4 release and the end of the poll(though the poll is a little bit irrelevant I guess), but we are finally ready!

With this update, we bring the last part of the pregnancy update! You can now ask pregnant NPCs to give you a Pet in their class. If you impregnate a Squire character, she can give you Squire Pet, for example.

Each Pet has unique abilities that’ll help you through the game:

• Squire gives the player the ability to block 1 attack every 5 seconds, ignoring any damage.

• Archer is simply an Archer support that follows you. She’ll shoot at anyone in her range.

• Witch gives players ability to charge their attacks, which adds ranged projectiles to their regular attacks.

• Warrior performs AOE spin attack whenever a hostile girl is in her range. Her attack range should help greatly in crowded areas. She can be charged with Lust Essence or by landing hits on enemies.

• Healer heals the player whenever they are injured, but she’ll eat a huge amount of Lust Essence to get charged.

• Saver will carry you back to the nearest checkpoint, without requiring to be charged. Since she prevents loading the world to its last saved state, if you don’t want to lose your progress when you die, she’s the perfect choice.
• Mushroom adds a third jump. Struggling with platforming? She’s there to help.

• Guide is currently WIP and will be added next update since she is a completely new character. She’ll allow you to scout the map as you like. She can get past locked gates, so you can see ahead without any obstacles and plan ahead.

With that said, poll is closed, thanks everyone who participated! We decided to hold a poll because I wanted to continue Kingdom Lost after Dekamara is finished, but ShySeel wanted to continue Dekamara for a while. Considering most of our current patrons come from Dekamara, these results make sense but still, I’m amazed Kingdom Lost lost just with 1 vote(not counting the vote I gave by mistake). That makes us proud, it’s literally the first project I created when I first started learning how to make games, and ShySeel learned how to draw pixel art for the first time while working on KL.

Since it’s decided, I’ll talk in more detail this week about how we are going to proceed with Dekamara from now on. Until then, take care!

• Added 35 new SFXs(Credits to gorkeem01)
• Squire can now block ranged projectiles.
• Added Pets as a part of pregnancy update. Players can now summon Pets from pregnant NPCs. There is currently 1 missing Pet(Guide), which will be added next update, which will finalize the Pregnancy Update.
• Added Lust Essence, players can collect Lust Essence(LE for short) by performing lewd interactions. Gathering enough LE will give you Lust Crystals(LC), which can be used to summon Pets from pregnant NPCs. Summons will collect LE in your stead whenever they can to charge their abilities.(See version notes for more info)
• Fixed an issue where girls attacking SFXs could be heard from anywhere with full sound.

Version Notes

Most Pets require being charged through some actions, only Saver and Mushroom don't need charging. Some Pets will consume your Lust Essence before you, either accelerating their charging process or completely depending on LE. If it’s confusing, please let me know here or on Discord.
Girls become hostile again as soon as Pet is spawned because they are no longer pregnant. This leads to some awkward situations so we are going to come up with something to prevent this.

0.3.02:

• Fixed options menu not saving screen options(only alt+enter would save display options)
• Pregnant girls are no longer hostile against each other
• Fixed unintended behavior of pregnant girls; if a hostile girl is first detected by pregnant girl, they'll fight each other, if hostile girl first detects the player, she will chase player even if she's detected by another pregnant girls after

• Removed unnecessary files like “crash.txt” from user files(these will be automatically cleaned up on launch) and game will now try to send and delete failed bug report log files on launch
• Added white overlay on Dekamara when he’s protected from damage by spending SP

0.3.06

• Prevented crash happening when camera is trying to show activated door/platform based on automated bug report, added new commands to track the issue better. This will skip the little scene where the camera shows the activated object instead of crashing, but it might cause unexpected issues since I don’t know what exactly is going on. If this happened to you, sharing the details can help a lot.
• Fixed crash while enemy is chasing a target.
• Fixed crash when remapping input to characters: ,.;'[]-=/\ other keys will most likely work even if they show a question mark. I’ll probably add a new font with support for non-english characters for menus.
• Removed ‘crash.txt’ log file that I forgot in the previous bug fix release.
