Progress Report
Added 2020-07-12 16:34:16 +0000 UTCHello everyone! New update is coming along nicely, especially with kaanslmn dumping us a lot of sfx and bgm, which adds so much feeling to the game. I'm refining nearly every system I had up until now and ShySeel is also going over a lot of things. It takes time but we want to complete every system as much as we can before adding further content. I plan to finish working on engine at version 0.6 then focus on adding content.
Adding story this update seems like a bad idea, since we spent so much time on many things and made lot of changes. Also probability of story content giving us a lot of bugs to deal with is high, so I want to make sure that everything works as it should before adding story content as much as possible.
Not sure what content I'm going to add this release, but I'll try to let everyone see what we've been working on so far and how far we came. These past updates always felt lacking, naturally so since I didn't want to expand things on placeholder systems, which would be waste of time.
What I aim for v0.6
- Postprocessing.
- AI needs to be much more complex then the current one, it's basically done but it still needs to be improved.
- It's not much but I'm still adding new stats, also I need to make a proper quest/bounty screen. For quests, player should be able to see every completed quest and track quests and bounties if it's in progress. Currently there is no way to see which bounty player took, so that should be fixed too(which also requires some assets).
- There are many other small things I want to add as well as some issues I need to fix before entering a stable state.
Postprocessing and AI are kind of problematic but I guess there is not much work done on the engine side overall. After 1 or 2 months I should be able to fully focus on content hopefully.
