Try soaking a black teabag in warm water and then placing it in your mouth against the sores. My dentist recommended it as a way to help lower the pain without resorting to medicated numbing creams and the like

My biggest fear is the possible reset of how things were smelling/tasting before I got covid. And it's all just gonna be backwards, wonky and wrong. We'll see, I try to smell strong rosy scents everyday at home, and also eat a lime. Nada You hang in there too, Being of Unimaginable Horror, don't fall apart on us.

Oof, same, same. It's seriously frightening. I struggled with the blanking on things, and still today things aren't quite right. I am lucky to be diligent about writing down key dates, names, plot points, and design features as they come up for the series. I definitely feel that my brain and senses are stunted in some areas, especially for work. I just know these terms/systems and names of technical parts after all these years, but I am blanking so much. And with recalling names of people too. When I knew something was up, it was when I was eating left over pork tenderloin and it was grossly sweet and I mean cranked to 13. Oh man it was so bad, then just it was all gone.

Give it time, hopefully by winter you'll basically be back to normal. For me, coffee smelled and tasted like actual dirt for a long time. It was demoralizing, lol.

Ha! Hilariously the "death of Elk" arc that preceded Elk Hunt was inspired by a particularly debilitating outbreak in early 2023. And then I caught covid a third time. That was a rough week.

My diet has not changed, I can only assume it is stress related. It's basically an annual thing when the heat just won't let up. It is to be 90° today. Woke up with them a few days ago and I've just been in sheer agony working on this thing, lmao.
