One thing I learned from "Thrill Seeker" was that the sketches need to be 100% solid and representative of where the line art will settle, done through at least 3 layers. My sketches are now practically the most involved part of the process, made obvious by the bottom two images.

100% agree. The rough, grinding of chitin and carapace rubbing together, the inhuman chortle-clack of mandibles, the scrape of legs and claws on the cement all hyperloud in the alley and then the soft pat-pat of sneakers, like Vans, right behind you, but that’s the only part Viv hears.
