"The Chosen One" Thoughts

So, the script has grown from 8 pages to 12 pages, I really had no other way of including each key scene with a natural build up. I'm finding the comic has become a combination of the planned events of "Peaches & Cream: Part 3" (a standalone unconventional romance) and "The Hunt" (the penultimate demonstration of Ellie's viciousness), which works out nicely as each of those are lengthy as well and I wasn't sure when I could actualize the former. I'm recycling the dog walker's design from "The Hunt" reference sketches as well for a spectacular conclusion. He has a corgi by the way, and the corgi will be fine, I assure you.

Anyhow, this makes "The Chosen One" my longest comic so far beating out "Thrill Seeker" with a probable release date of the exact 1 year anniversary of "The Airbnb." I think that's pretty stellar and I'll make a point of that at drop.

Only issue is I don't necessarily want to drag out this process like I did with Thrill Seeker and lose the interest of any new patrons or those who've endured since the shorter comics of last year. So, with the intention of speeding things up, I'm experimenting with some new techniques for colors, and somehow retaining a majority of the sketches within the art itself considering how tight they already look. This may be an age of a more painterly feel to the comics rather than the incredibly refined, traditional comic line art look "Thrill Seeker" had. That said, y'all may start seeing some serious trial and error happening here, some of which I'd like to include in live streams on YouTube, which is finally set up!

I'm hoping y'all can stick with me going into August. My objective is make "The Chosen One" the kind of piece that will be impossible to ignore on a grand scale. It is going so, so well so far.

That's all! Just wanted to share my status so far. ❤

I seriously appreciate it! There's always a decent surge after a major comic, and I know it can be a little iffy just after in the downtime. Thank you so much for your support! It shall be worth it!

Speaking as just one of the new patrons you're talking about, I'm here because your work is so well done. If that takes a longer time to achieve, I am in no rush and will be pleased to wait until you feel it's ready.

I was worried about the corgi’s well-being, and I’m not even a dog person 😮‍💨
