It goes 'Anglian Lives' Special (2003), then 'Mid Morning Matters' Season 1 (2010), then his 'Welcome to the Places of my Life' special (2012), then the movie (2013) which I believe you've seen, then 'Mid Morning Matters' Season 2 (2016), then his special 'Scissored Isle' (2016), then 'This Time' (2019 & 2021). Probably don't need to be in order although I do remember some continuation from Mid Morning Matters to Scissored Isle.

Piers Morgan walked out of his show for being called out on his own bullshit by the weather man. It was glorious, especially as piers was renowned for calling previous guests cowards for walking out on him. Hrs a hypocrite who likes his own voice and refuses to let anyone else talk without being constantly interrupted.

I took the walk out as a reference to this. It was during the Falklands war. John Nott was the Defence Secretary who felt partly responsible for the invasion.

With regards to the next Alan Partridge, in between series 2 of I'm Alan Partridge & Mid Morning Matters he did a 30 min special called 'Anglian Lives' . Its generally overlooked by most reactors i've seen. Shame as its pretty funny & currently available to watch on youtube

Not for me to question one of the best comedy writing teams of all time, but surely Zinc and Copper should be Trans?
(DISCLAIMER, it's a chemistry joke, not a joke about Trans people).

That was an amazing six ep reaction to The Day Today! So very glad you enjoyed it as much as you did. What does QB think of it?
I don't mind Brasseye not being next at all, you're clearly a huge Chris Morris fan now and I'm confident you'll do Brasseye sometime when it suits you.
Hyper-happy that an Alan Partridge thing will be next. :D
I hope you do his work in chronological order, to see his character's evolution, ups and downs (and aging).
There are a couple of one-off 45 min A.P. specials inbetween some of his series, they are totally worth seeing.
Next for AP, I think is;
- 'Mid Morning Matters' (2010), it has two series.
- 'Alan Partridge: Welcome to the Places of My Life' (2012), with AP taking the viewer on a tour of Partridge's home county, Norfolk.
- 2013 has the AP movie, Alpha Papa, which you've reacted to.
- 'Scissored Isle' (2015) is another one-off AP special, very good.
- 'This Time with Alan Partridge' (2019 & 2021), a spoof current affairs programme in the style of The One Show. Outstanding.
'Cunk on Britain' is an A+++ recent UK comedy series. It's a mockumentary 7 part series that traces the history of Britain from way back to present day. It's presented by a lady who is unbelievably ill-informed and she interviews many different well respected and real professors, historians, etc. Asking them the most outlandishly stupid (and hilarious) questions. Best of all she does the entire thing completely deadpan throughout the entire series, Leslie Nielsen would be proud of her.
The comedian Diane Morgan plays the show's presenter but as a ficticious character called Philomena Cunk.
It has elements of The Day Today's ridiculousness (but played straight) in it and also elements of Alan Partridge's stupidity.
Extremely highly recommended, it is gold. 10/10.
'The Trip' by Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon is as highly recommeded as can be. It's a comedy / road / travel / restaurant review TV series. SC and RB pretty much play themselves in it. Amazingly funny, lots of improv and celebrity impersonations that will have you on the floor.
SC and RB are business associates (SC produces some of RB's show, or did so in the past, at least) and they are friends. But they often bicker and quarrel over this series and sometimes they do it whilst in character as a film star. Two Roger Moores arguing with each other about whose impression is the best, for example. It's comedy gold. 10/10.

Preston from The Ordinary Boys walking off 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' was a classic on UK TV, the presenter of the music based comedy panel show basically berated him relentlessly until he blew a gasket and walked, it was so funny! π€£ I'll post a link to it on your YT reactions community tab, there's an edited version with all the good bits including all the berating.

Alan Partridge also appears in two Live shows - "Steve Coogan Live: The Man Who Thinks He's It" (1998) and "Steve Coogan Live: As Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters" (2009). There's also a 2011 interview with Jonathon Ross that was done in character as Partridge. To my mind, all unmissable classic Partridge content! I don't know if KB would be able to get hold of the live shows though.

The Day Today was also on the radio. You should do a reaction on Youtube to their coverage of September 11th (featuring Peter O'Hanrahanrahan). It's just under 4minutes long

Great reaction - as always. One of my all time favourite series and a monumental influence in most British Comedy.
I've added a few suggestions for some extra bits, deleted scenes and DVD Easter Eggs over on the YouTube suggestion chat.
Looking forward to more Partridge and glad to hear you'll be checking out Brass Eye.
Cheers!

This series is brilliant. The absurd Piers Morgan famously stormed out when he was having his ass handed to him on Good Morning Britain. Very satisfying.

King Boomer - Midmorning matters is the next series of Alan Partridge, there's 2 series and are hilarious, all based on his radio show. He did 3 specials which came out around the same time as midmorning matters. The order of watching them is...
Midmorning matters series 1
open books with Martin Bryce.
Alan partridge welcome to the places of my life.
Midmorning matters series 2
Scissored Isle.
This time with Alan partridge series 1.
This time with Alan partridge series 2.
