That's despite the fact that when you analyse it, Alan has many unappealing character traits, some of them quite nasty, and very few positive ones that I can think of. I think a friend of mine spoke sense that she likes Alan because of his energy, curiosity, and living life to the full. I kinda see what she means. Also his radio and TV shows may be many things, but they were never dull or lacking in controversy If AP was real, I'd certainly tune in ! Also the occasional moments of pathos when you realise that Alan is quite lonely engender some sympathy from me. Nevertheless, again, if he were real, he'd be an unpleasant pain in the backside if you had to live or work with him ! 😂😂
