They say the only difference between a hero and a villain is one really bad day. Well Leena had a lot of very very bad days.
Ever since she was told she had the mutant gene she was worried that people would abandon her, and humanity unfortunately proved her right. Shortly after her mutation into her spider-like form she found herself alone, family disowning her, friends deserting her. She lost her job, her money, her home, and soon found herself on the rough streets of New York.
Everything was taken from her. It was time for her to take everything back.
Leena soon became obsessed with control. If she was going to survive, she was going to need to know everything about everyone. Knowledge is power, and she needed power.
She started small. She took revenge on her family by leaking every illegal and illicit activity they ever did and when that wasn't enough she wasn't above framing them. She made sure they lost everyrhing including each other, airing their darkest secrets and ruining her parents and siblings marriages.
Every incriminating secret about her friends came out. The ones who bought drugs and mutagen either found themselves arrested due to anonymous tips or captured by drug gangs. With a few calls to the right people, the jobs that turned her away ended up going bankrupt or, in the most unfortunate of circumstances, burning to the ground.
This was her plan. Control the information. Control the world. She was going to know everything that happens in this city, each and every person stuck in her web. She fancies herself the “writer” of the city's fate and goes by the moniker “weaver” now, a notoriously dangerous hacker, informant, and information trafficker.
Her particular set of skills has led her to become part of the Access Lab Crime Syndicate. Of course, knowing so much valuable information only served to isolate her further, as mutants desperately try to avoid the gaze of her prying eyes. They never manage to, but all the isolation has made her go quite mad. Her too wide grin and lifeless eyes endlessly gaze into the screen of her many computers. If you seek her out, you’ll be able to find the answers to any questions you have… but cross her, and she will ruin your life in a couple of keystrokes.
Because no matter how far you fall, life can always, ALWAYS, get worse. She knows that too well
