I got some exciting news to share.
Supercon
My artist alley application for Supercon got accepted! This will be my first appearance at a convention as an artist. Looking forward to it! I can finally offload at least some of those artbooks that I printed in anticipation for another con (which I didn't get in to).
Supercon is going to be held in Miami Beach, FL on July 4-7th, 2019.
Mini Artist Alley
In addition to that, I was invited to partake in a small artist alley event hosted by my university's Art Club. The only catch was it taking place in a couple of weeks and I couldn't sell anything NSFW ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). As such, I spent the past few days scrambling to prepare for it, getting 5 designs print-ready and ordering everything I needed (card readers, plastic bags, the prints themselves etc.)
I'm using this event as a sort of test-bed to get a feel for what sells best (since the demographics are more or less the same in a convention setting).
Anyways, here are the five works I got printed for that event.
I spent most of that time refurbishing DVa and Tamamo so they wouldn't look outdated compared to my more recent works.
I know a few of you have been inquiring about prints. I've been looking into different avenues for that. Many print-on-demand places won't let you sell fanart, and the ones that do tend to charge an obscene amount ($18 for a single 11x17 print).
I've also looked into direct sales, but I'll need to work out the safest method for shipping prints without being cost prohibitive. I'll let you know when I figure all this stuff out.
