Complementary Shaders r5.3 Pre-Release 3

The target version has been renamed from r5.2.3 to r5.3, because the update turned out to be bigger than a hotfix.


Changes over r5.2.3_pre2:

- Added "Colored Candle Lighting" ACL exclusive option. Makes lights cast by candles to be the same color as their bases

- Added "Distant Light Bokeh" option. Applies a tiny single-pixel blur in the distance to make distant light sources look scattered. Includes added IntegratedPBR functionality for most light sources

- Added "IPBR+ Emissive Mode" option. Allowing users to use labPBR/seuspbr emissive formats to override any IntegratedPBR emissives

- Tweaked subsurface scattering with reduced ambient occlusion on lit surfaces

- Tweaked the look of Texture Filtering on cutout blocks

- Made the white eyes of piglin/hoglin variants emissive according to art released by Mojang (IntegratedPBR)

- "Improved Glass" option is now enabled by default

- "Improved Glass" option now also works on Iris 1.8 and above instead of only working on Optifine

- Downgraded the quality of "4x" Texture Filtering for better performance

- Reduced intensity of moon lens flares when "Lens Flare Intensity" setting is set to high values

- Fixed Texture Filtering causing the textures of flowing lava and some modded liquids to break (again)

- Fixed an error causing the visuals to break with the Distant Horizons mod

- Fixed vanilla clouds always being visible with newer Distant Horizons versions (again)

- Fixed "Show Light Levels" feature being broken with the latest Iris version

- Fixed lens flares still being visible during rain when the "Sun/Moon During Rain" option is disabled

- Fixed lens flares being visible in the Nether and End dimensions

Fix1:
- Colored Light Fog intensity is now increased in all low skylight areas to match night and caves

- Fixed an error causing the visuals to break on some combinations of "IPBR+ Emissive Mode" and "RP Support" options

- Fixed iron trapdoors looking incorrectly lit (IntegratedPBR)

- Fixed Texture Filtering causing the textures of flowing lava and some modded liquids to break (for the third time)

- Fixed held light colors looking slightly inaccurate with Advanced Colored Lighting

- Fixed double slabs not having any IntegratedPBR properties in older Minecraft versions

- Added an error message for when Advanced Colored Lighting is enabled on Apple devices. Thanks to SpacEagle17

Hello. To use a shaderpack you need have a "shader loader mod" and to install that you need a "mod loader". I recommend the "Iris" shader loader and that requires the "Fabric" mod loader. After you install those two, you can go to Video Settings and you will see a "Shaders" button is now available. You can just enter there and put Complementary Shaders there and enable it, similar to how you would do a resource pack. If you have any trouble at any step you can ask me or look up tutorials, as there are hundreds of them available on YouTube

Hello. The latest version on Modrinth (r5.3) is exactly the same as r5.3_pre3_fix1 here, so we aren't in advance here at all at the moment 😅. If you were misled about this I can give you a free refund
