and maybe doing a shop trial run????? with stickers???

hi friends so i’ve been doing some Thinking.

i’m moving full speed towards this shop opening thing, right, and yesterday my thermal label printer arrived and i’m itching to put all these things i’m learning from artists on tiktok who own and operate a small art business on etsy or their own website into motion

it passed Moon’s inspection

i’ve put in orders for about 150 sticker of 12 different designs from two different (canadian!!!) manufacturers i want to try after doing a lot of research and idk!!!! it’s seeming like a good idea the more i think on it - to do a limited stock sticker run to troubleshoot any and all problems i may have before i do the main launch with my bigger project which would be the artbooks.

it would give me a good chance to see if the squarespace interface is something i can handle and navigate (i think it will be), figure out the nebulous concept of shipping labels and tracking numbers and product photography…. so much to do.. and i think it would be disastrous if i’m figuring all this out while surrounded by 100+ copies of 7x10 BOOKS to mail out instead of a hundred 2x4 stickers.

also, the one roadblock i’ve had all these years of entertaining the idea of doing this whole business thing has been the question of whether i could handle this part of the job — the packaging and going to the post office part, because i used to struggle with such debilitating anxiety and executive dysfunction back in the day!!! but my mental health and overall just.. grit and maturity that comes with age has gotten so much better and i’m confident i can do this!!
