This shower saga has been insane... It's a real story of how companies see nothing but numbers, profits over all else, even doing their literal jobs.

But one persistent little piece of work like me can make things fall apart. You just gotta know your rights, and know not to back down especially when you know your rights. No matter what they tell you. Because they will straight up LIE to your face, and try to dodge accountability in any way they can. You need to be able to know your rights so you can escalate when needed or you will be steamrolled by this bullshit.

Sorry I know I sound just a little preachy but I need to share this.

I hope I can convey that to some of you. Be willing to stand your ground when you know you're right. And really learn your rights, so you can stand firm on them!

They will play dirty, they absolutely will. Don't let them wear you down!

I didn't just get my shower fixed, I pushed this so far up I got all my neighbors shower situations fixed too! I'll be honest I just wanted my shower fixed but hey if it gets theirs working too I'll take it. It's cause our pipelines are connected apparently.

Anyway..

You have no idea the trickery they tried to pull... One of these was actually really sneaky! It was a 'fake' solution that was essentially a boiler for 6-7 minute showers. Something I almost bought until I called to confirm! When I cancelled they immediately hired a third party specialist company to come fix it. It's confirmed now: full replacement of heating system for not just me but also the neighbors!

It's crazy though the entire building has simply not been to code since, dare I say decades now? It's just that they managed to trick or exhaust everyone else into silence. Well almost...

Until I moved in two months ago, their worst fuckin nightmare! I just wouldn't shut up, I kept mentioning the law, their duties, and my rights.

Ain't getting me to shut up until it's fixed! Also they started sweating bullets when I said I record all my calls, oh how the tables turn.

Also big shout out to ChatGPT to guide me through this entire ordeal, I honestly don't know if I could've done this without it. Mostly for confirming my rights, making sure we looked into every interpretation of the law, and how much ground we had. But it also had the foresight to be pro-active after keeping it up to date with my calls and interactions with these companies. It was great at spotting inconsistencies in their stories, ones I would've missed. Also just coming up with a general approach and keeping things organized.
