The song is about Marilyn Monroe, who was ahead of her time in so many ways, however, the media portrayal and public perception of Ms. Monroe was all about looks. Ms. Monroe had posed nude for a pictorial, and most saw her fame as the nude starlet/sex symbol, but she was highly intelligent and was even trying to start her own production company, but the media never gave her any credit for any type of female empowerment and kept the public's perception of her just as a sexy starlet when she was so much more than that. The media portrayed her as a dumb sexy blonde, however the the real Marilyn was a strong woman, and perceptions of women is still in the stone age as far as most media is concerned even today. This is a wonderful video that is breaking down those barriers, of course I-DLE did a masterful job in tackling this issue, as always!
