I totally get how this performance could be confusing, especially if you’re not familiar with much of their music yet. Let me try to give you a general overview! This performance essentially told the story of TXT’s discography up to that point, but through dance. When listened to in order, their discography narrates a coming-of-age journey, and this performance encapsulated that progression. It starts with the happy, magical experiences of childhood, then moves into the darker, more chaotic times of adolescence, and finally transitions into their most recent phase at the time: first heartbreaks (which is when they performed Good Boy Gone Bad). The performance then ended by teasing the next chapter in their story—the ‘The Name Chapter’ series, which includes Sugar Rush Ride. At the time, we didn’t know the song played in the performance would be part of that song. This isn’t the first time TXT has teased an album during an end-of-year performance. In their first MMA stage, they teased The Dream Chapter: Eternity, in 2020 it was the Chaos Chapter series, in 2021 it was Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, and at the 2024 GDA they teased Minisode 3: Tomorrow. Hopefully, that makes things a bit clearer 💗 The channel that made the TXT guide video, beomie bear, has a website on TXT’s discography which explains it much better than I can as they break down how TXT’s discography and narrative is organised with summaries of each album and lots of helpful context behind their songs. 2024-09-16 06:32:06 +0000 UTCI love this MMA performance because it truly captures what makes TXT special and highlights why they’ve earned the nickname of the ‘storytelling idols.’ They performed this right after winning the MMA for Best Performance Male, and it really showed why they earned that award too. Fun fact - during the GBGB dance break Beomgyu was meant to burn a rose in his mouth, but the rose went missing during the performance so he had to improvise by just looking at the lighter and throwing it away - MOA didn't even know that it wasn't part of the original choreography until the dance practice came out. I highly recommend checking out TXT’s dance practice videos from award shows if they’re available - they give a much clearer view of the full choreography, since the camera angles and lighting at these events can sometimes miss or hide parts of the performance. 2024-09-16 06:31:50 +0000 UTCI’m so sorry for too many comments but I just wanted to explain to you guys because will be confusing if you haven’t watched or listen to a lot of their music😭😭. The end was them announcing the name of the comeback because txt has different albums but their music is grouped in chapters so the first was THE DREAM CHAPTER with like 3 different albums that made that chapter. Then the CHAOS CHAPTER which was 2 albums. And they have others albums called minisodes (they have done 3 now). Their last release was minisode 3:TOMORROW. And so before this award show they announced txt was having a comeback but MOAS didn’t know the name or what was next. So they did this special segment of going through their different albums and chapters then at the end Revealing the next CHAPTER. They have done THE NAME CHAPTER:Temptation which is Sugar Rush Ride and Tinnitus album. Then they did THE NAME CHAPTER: Freefall, AMAZING ALBUM. Now the next Txt comeback will be the last name chapter but we don’t know the name yet. moas think it’s going to be THE NAME CHAPTER: Promise but we don’t knowwww

The whole point is these are all things the boys are first ashamed of but come together to love and be with each other regardless and they start to see these things as Crowns and not to be ashamed. There is also a green and blue eye cat who is evil in the story like really evil and tries to convince the boys that he can help them get rid of it and they can go to a place called magic island where they will be happy. But it comes with a price. That’s what Sugar Rush Ride song was about when they said “The devil said…gimme gimme more” in the song. The devil is the cat. It’s a lot but it’s really fun once you watch all the mvs and txt comeback trailers and stuff. And it’s also a really good message of loving your “flaws” and having people who understand you be with you as well.

Idk if you know but they kind of have concepts inspired by fairy tales and magical tales. Like if you watch the music video of a song called Nap of a Star it was exactly the story of the horns and Yeonjun snapping the horns and the other boys coming to tell him it’s okay to be different. And that the horn is his CROWN which was basically what their debut song crown was about. Their first comeback after debut was dream chapter magic which was very inspired by Harry Potter. And then they have the Chaos chapter Freeze which was the part with the ice. When you watch more txt videos you will understand their lore more and see it. Even the part with whole in yeonjuns chest, they did it in a past award show performance when they announced the comeback for Freeze so when they did here again MOAS were going CRAZY
