GODZILLA- CH-32. Typical instincts of a cautious giant
Added 2024-11-19 04:49:36 +0000 UTCThinking of this, the trilobite, with the instinctive dignity of a giant beast, suddenly spread the soft, flat cheek hair that extended along the edges of its shell.
Relying on the wriggling of these gills, its body soon floated up from the seafloor and quickly rushed toward the surface.
The dignity of a behemoth cannot be challenged!
Responding to a battle is what a behemoth should do.
Before it reached the surface, the surrounding seawater began to stir, gathering around the trilobite.
The water seemed to come alive, swirling, gathering, and compressing until it turned into an intense, pure black hue.
The black water enveloped the trilobite's body, and by the time it emerged on the surface, a sea giant about 600 meters tall stood towering over the waves.
Of course, this "sea giant" was no human-like creature. It resembled a water elemental from fantasy stories—without arms, its chest and abdomen connected seamlessly to the sea, crowned by a flat, featureless head.
Once the trilobite monster had fully transformed and prepared itself for battle, it gazed toward the horizon.
However, when it saw what lay in the distance, it froze.
Far away, four giant beasts dominated the scene—one flying through the sky, three swimming in the ocean, and another, as massive as an island, being brutally attacked.
For a moment, the trilobite considered retreating back into the depths.
But at that very moment, a flaming monster suddenly burst out from the deep sea amidst the chaotic battle of the four beasts.
Rolling waves of heat emanated from the fire-covered behemoth, sweeping across the surface and generating billowing white mist as seawater vaporized.
However, the mist dissipated just as quickly as the flaming monster's body temperature skyrocketed.
The fiery creature, engulfed in roaring flames, surged forward and attacked the eight-tentacled beast with incredible speed.
Though the tentacled monster was startled, it reacted swiftly, wrapping its attacker in all eight of its limbs.
The struggle didn't last long. Even from a distance, the trilobite could smell the scent of roasting flesh.
"ROAR!!!"
The eight-tentacled behemoth let out a wail of agony as the flaming monster broke free and unleashed a massive incandescent blast upon it.
An enormous explosion erupted, sending shockwaves across the ocean and triggering 500-meter-high waves that spread outward in all directions.

"Finally, I made it in time! I think this should be enough to handle the giant octopus, right?"
James exhaled deeply, muttering uncertainly as he observed the chaos.
True to his assumptions, the giant octopus had suffered devastating damage. Its head was charred black, and its body bore a massive crater from the impact.
Yet, incredibly, the creature clung to life. Even in its crippled state, it retreated to the seafloor and began stirring up immense clouds of sediment with its remaining tentacles, trying to dig its way underground to escape.
James considered chasing after it but paused when his gaze shifted to a nearby water giant—the newly arrived trilobite in its transformed state.
Frowning slightly, James scrutinized the creature's hesitant stance. He gestured toward it, signaling for the water lizard nearby to confirm its intent.
The water lizard, startled, snapped out of its daze. Its emotions were a chaotic mix of awe and jealousy. The flaming behemoth, James, had defeated the giant octopus effortlessly—something it had failed to do despite its size and strength.
The lizard looked at James, its eyes betraying a complicated mix of respect and discontent, before shaking its head in response.
"Not an enemy, huh? Just a native beast of this sea area attracted by the commotion?" James mused, glancing back at the murky seafloor where the octopus had vanished.
Ultimately, he decided against pursuing the tentacled creature. James wasn't one to kill recklessly, especially not intelligent beasts like these. It wasn't clear whether they might become allies in the future.
Turning his attention back to the scene, James noticed the grilled octopus legs floating nearby. They had been scorched off during the battle and now bobbed enticingly on the waves.
His stomach growled slightly.
He wasn't the only one eyeing the meat. The giant moth, which had landed on the water, and the snake-like behemoth, humming in a disturbingly sycophantic manner, were also fixated on the drifting legs.
---
As the waves calmed and the sky cleared, the group found a small deserted island in the vast ocean.
"ROAR!!!"
"ROAR!!!"
A fierce brawl broke out between the snake and the water lizard, though it was more a display of raw physical strength than a serious fight.
The giant snake lashed out with its tail, the lizard retaliated by hurling a massive tree, and the two creatures soon became entangled, rolling around like wrestlers locked in combat.
James, watching from a safe distance alongside the giant moth and the trilobite, couldn't help but laugh.
He had seen the water lizard and moth fighting valiantly against the octopus earlier while the snake lazed on the sidelines, pretending to help. This "team dynamic" was clearly causing friction among the beasts.
The trilobite, meanwhile, remained cautious, still trying to make sense of the situation.
It was odd enough to see four massive creatures interacting peacefully, but the sight of James roasting an octopus leg over a fire was downright surreal.
James waved a charred tentacle toward the trilobite, inviting it to join the feast.
Though suspicious, the trilobite cautiously approached, enticed by the smell of grilled meat.
Watching the scene unfold, James couldn't suppress a grin. The trilobite seemed perplexed by the bizarre gathering.
Was this how these strange behemoths communicated? Fights, barbecues, and shared meals?
Is it true that after those two guys finish fighting, the two barbecue guys here will also start fighting?
The giant trilobite looked at James' size and height, then shifted its gaze to the giant flying moth.
The trilobite had to admit that although the giant moth could fly, with wings that seemed vast when spread out, it was no match for this flaming behemoth. James radiated an aura of overwhelming strength and sheer dominance that left no doubt about who was the most powerful.
James was undeniably imposing. From the low vantage point of the trilobite, he appeared to tower over everything, his presence as vast and unshakable as the horizon itself.
Even though the trilobite had not detected any hostility from James, its instincts urged caution. Keeping a safe distance, it remained alert, lying low and observing the scene quietly.
James, on the other hand, noticed the trilobite's wary behavior and couldn't help but smile inwardly, 'Typical instincts of a cautious giant.' He thought, 'No matter how big or strong they are, they all start like this.'
