MCU- CH-221. Superman of Marvel

While hell was in chaos, Earth faced its own turmoil. An accident with a human-made potion had created a powerful being beyond anyone's control.

---

"Have you identified that golden figure?"

Nick Fury rubbed his temples as he reviewed the satellite footage on his computer.

The screen showed a warrior clad in a golden battle robe with a shining S-shaped symbol on his waist. He easily overpowered the SHIELD commandos, including their heavy hitter, the resurrected Hulk.

Captain America wielded the Green Lantern Ring to provide support, while Blade was taken out of the fight with a single blow.

Ghost Rider's immortality allowed him to keep fighting, but the only one who could truly face the golden warrior head-on was Hulk.

Yet, the battle did not end well for SHIELD's team.

The golden warrior dispatched Ghost Rider with a single punch, reverting him to his human form. Then, after sending Hulk flying high into the sky, he smashed him to the ground and destroyed the surveillance satellite before disappearing.

Had Captain America not caught Hulk mid-fall using the Green Lantern Ring, the casualties would have been catastrophic.

This was the first time in a long while that SHIELD's elite team had been thoroughly outmatched. Nick Fury couldn't ignore it.

"Any updates on the golden warrior's identity?" Fury demanded.

"Director, we've narrowed it down to four potential suspects using global facial recognition." An agent replied.

Fury's eyes immediately locked onto a file bearing the name **Robert Reynolds**, though he didn't jump to conclusions.

"Get Coulson in here." Fury ordered.

Phil Coulson entered the room shortly after, his ever-optimistic demeanor intact. Working with Captain America had been a dream come true for him, even if it was mostly in logistics.

"Director, you called? Do you have a mission for me?"

Fury gestured to the footage, "What's your take on the golden warrior?"

Coulson studied the image carefully, "Director, there's no doubt—his power surpasses anything we've faced before. Honestly, his appearance reminds me of a comic book character—Superman. Maybe he's trying to emulate the hero?"

Fury raised an eyebrow, "Another comic reference? First Captain America with the Green Lantern Ring, now Superman? Are we being invaded by the comic book world?"

Coulson chuckled nervously, "It's hard to say, but he didn't seem to be fighting with full intent to kill. Even his final punch on Hulk might've been more out of anger than malice."

Fury nodded grimly, "Fine. I want you to investigate these four suspects, especially Reynolds. If he's connected, do *not* engage. We need to approach this carefully."

Coulson saluted, "Understood, Director. I'll handle it."

---

Meanwhile, at a modest suburban home, Robert Reynolds—one of SHIELD's key suspects—paced back and forth.

"Is it really me? That kind of power... I could do anything!" He muttered, staring at his hands.

"Yes, that is your power. Doesn't it feel incredible? You can be even greater." A strange voice echoed in his mind.

Reynolds froze, "Who's there? Show yourself!"

He scanned the room but found nothing. His wife was at work, leaving him alone.

"There's no use looking—I'm inside you. I *am* you." The voice continued.

Reynolds clenched his fists, "Get out of my head!"

"You can't escape me. Sooner or later, you'll accept my existence. My name is **Void.**"

And with that, the voice faded, leaving Reynolds to whisper the name in confusion: "Void..."

This marked the emergence of the Sentry. The events that led to his creation began with Captain America, **Steve Rogers**.

As the only successful super-soldier, Steve had become a subject of obsessive study. Various secret organizations pursued the dream of replicating the super-soldier serum, but with limited success.

Abraham Erskine, the serum's original creator, had died in an assassination, and only fragments of his work remained. These fragments gave rise to derivatives like the Infinity Potion used by Nick Fury and Black Widow, which enhanced physical abilities and slowed aging.

But one scientist, Corny Eris, pursued a far more ambitious goal. Over decades, he worked in obscurity to create a serum 10,000 times more potent than Erskine's.

The result was the **Golden Sentry Potion**, a formula so volatile that its effects were both miraculous and uncontrollable. It was this potion that gave rise to the powerful being now known as **Sentry**.

---

Reynolds once knew Professor Eris in his younger days; they had visited each other's laboratories occasionally.

However, it was not the allure of science that drew Reynolds to Professor Eris, but the chemicals used in the experiments. Reynolds, later becoming a drug addict, had frequently broken into Professor Eris's lab to steal chemicals as substitutes for his drug cravings.

Professor Eris didn't care about this. His focus was entirely consumed by his experiments.

Recently, Professor Eris finally completed an experimental product that he named *Golden Sentry Potion*, a result of his groundbreaking formula.

This potion, however, had not undergone proper testing, and its effects were uncertain.

While Professor Eris sought a suitable test subject, Reynolds inadvertently walked into his plans.

"Reynolds, it is an honor for you to participate in this great experiment. If successful, you will gain power 10,000 times stronger than Captain America." Professor Eris declared in the shadows. However, even Eris himself was unaware of the monstrous being this potion might create when consumed by someone like Reynolds.

Power "10,000 times stronger than Captain America" was a gross underestimation. This potion harnessed energy equivalent to that of a fully-formed single universe, governed by stable and complete rules. It far surpassed the power of the miniature inner universe created by Luke using the Infinity Stones, which contained only a single sun.

However, Eris was oblivious to such cosmic implications.

Under his subtle guidance, Reynolds, overwhelmed by his drug addiction, broke into the laboratory.

"I'm sure the stash I got last time is still here somewhere!" Reynolds muttered, flashlight in hand, his voice trembling with urgency.

"Got it!" He exclaimed, his face lighting up when he found the bottle he sought. But then, his gaze caught sight of another vial — a golden liquid labeled *Golden Sentry Potion*.

"Golden Sentry Potion? What's this?" He wondered aloud. Overcome by withdrawal and clouded judgment, he impulsively downed the mysterious potion.

The moment the potion slid down his throat, Reynolds's eyes widened in terror. He clutched at his neck as pain ripped through his body, his veins bulging and his eyes reddening as if about to burst.

"ARGHHH!" Reynolds screamed, collapsing to the ground as unimaginable agony overtook him. His cries echoed through the lab until his voice faded, leaving his body lifeless.

Professor Eris, stunned by the scene, hurried to check Reynolds's condition.

Reynolds lay motionless, his eyes bulging in a grotesque expression of terror.

Eris immediately realized the potential trouble. He needed to make it appear as though a desperate drug addict had broken into his lab and accidentally overdosed. He planned to distance himself from the situation entirely.

Unbeknownst to Professor Eris, Reynolds's consciousness was being sucked into an unknown, chaotic dimension through a swirling vortex. Meanwhile, his body underwent a horrifying transformation at the atomic level. The immense energy in the potion restructured him from the inside out, connecting him to a newborn single universe.

This nascent universe, devoid of life, was brimming with countless celestial bodies in orbit. As the universe's sole conscious entity, Reynolds was recognized as its ruler. He could draw upon all of its boundless energy at will.

With a deafening *BOOM*, Reynolds awakened. Golden beams shot from his eyes, piercing the skies. His body radiated overwhelming power, disintegrating the laboratory and everything nearby into rubble.

Reynolds's tattered clothes disintegrated, replaced by a shimmering golden combat suit and a flowing blue cape. A wide black belt with a golden "S" insignia adorned his waist.

The *Sentry* was born, his emergence seemingly predestined.

The potion, ineffective on anyone else, bestowed godlike power upon Reynolds with odds close to zero. This twist of fate made him the one and only *Sentry*. However, as newfound power coursed through him, violent impulses surged uncontrollably, causing destruction all around him.

The Sentry's chaotic energy soon caught the attention of the SHIELD.

**[ALERT! ALERT! Unidentified energy source detected in New York City. Energy levels escalating rapidly. Values immeasurable.]**

Within seconds, the energy readings surpassed calculable limits. Panicked, an agent activated satellite surveillance, revealing the Sentinel hovering in the air, clutching his head in apparent torment.

"Deploy SHIELD commandos immediately! We must neutralize this threat before it escalates further!" The agent barked.

As SHIELD prepared for confrontation, Luke, observing from Dispelia, noticed the disturbance on Earth.

"Fascinating." Luke mused, "Marvel's equivalent to Superman has emerged. Perhaps he can be recruited."

His thoughts lingered on the Shi'ar Empire's weapons, Hyperion's whereabouts, and the fate of the cloned Kryptonian Superman, infused with symbiote power.

Curiosity piqued, Luke decided to intervene. With a mere thought, he appeared on Earth, teleporting without any spatial rift. Within the bounds of a single universe, Luke could traverse instantly.

However, instead of heading directly to the Sentinel, Luke made his way to Stark Tower.

Howard Stark, alive and thriving as head of Stark Enterprises, had prevented the tragic events tied to the Winter Soldier. Meanwhile, Tony Stark remained the brilliant but hedonistic playboy, indulging in excess.

After the taxing space wars, Luke sought a moment of reprieve on Earth — and an opportunity to explore the mysterious rewards he had recently unlocked from his treasure chest.
