MCU- CH-219. Heart of the Dimension

Not long after Luke came to his senses, Mephisto appeared, his body seriously injured!

However, Mephisto now did not look like a devil but had transformed into the appearance of an elderly human gentleman. He still held a gentleman's staff in his hand, and his expression looked extremely worn and weary.

"My lord, your loyal servant Mephisto pays you the highest respect!"

In front of Luke, Mephisto maintained a humble demeanor, performing an elegant bow, his body trembling slightly.

Not only was he seriously injured, but he was also deeply afraid of Luke.

Previously, Luke had killed twelve Hell Lords with power levels similar to his own in under five minutes. That overwhelming display of power had left an indelible mark on Mephisto's soul—one he would never forget!

What he couldn't forget even more was the green beam of light rising from the deepest parts of Hell.

If demons like him represented evil, then the will contained in that green light was a hundred thousand, even a million times more sinister than any of them.

As a Lord of Hell who had existed for billions of years and the apparent ruler of Hell, he never knew there was such a terrifying presence lurking in his own domain.

If the appearance of the One Below All Things had merely terrified Mephisto, then the arrival of the One Above All Things had reduced him to a trembling mess.

He wouldn't even dream of using his powers, like Luke, to process the infinite information generated when the two primordial forces collided!

The feeling of utter insignificance—as if he were nothing but a speck of dust in the vast universe—had nearly broken him. Thankfully, the encounter had ended as swiftly as it began.

"You arrived just in time. I was about to visit the Crimson Hell of Cyttorak. As a Lord of Hell, you should know a few things that could be useful."

Luke had already planned to combine Cyttorak's Crimson Hell with Venom's Living Abyss, creating a realm that could produce an endless supply of minions.

Bringing Mephisto along was simply convenient as he happened to be nearby.

"At your service!"

Although Mephisto wanted nothing more than to heal, Luke held his life in his hands; he dared not disobey.

Luke was pleased with Mephisto's obedience. He still recalled Mephisto's arrogance from when he had first arrived on Earth.

"Remember your humility now. From today on, you are my slave."

However, seeing Mephisto's worn appearance, Luke casually sent a stream of healing energy his way. While it didn't completely restore him to full strength, it healed his injuries significantly.

Without the power of his own domain, healing would have otherwise been a challenging feat for Mephisto.

"Thank you for your kindness, my lord. I shall never betray you!" Mephisto said sincerely, bowing his head.

"Let's go!"

Using Cyttorak's heart as a guide, Luke quickly located the entrance to the Crimson Hell. His powerful will tore open the dimensional barrier that separated it from the multiverse.

The Crimson Hell was, as the name suggested, a realm drenched in blood-red hues wherever one looked. There were no other colors.

The demons living there were all covered in blood.

For them, the death of Cyttorak had meant the collapse of the Crimson Hell.

All were creations of Cyttorak, and he was their sole faith. When that faith crumbled, every demon had chosen to end their life, committing mass suicide.

The Crimson Hell was now filled with death, devoid of any signs of life. Countless demon corpses lay scattered, slowly dissolving, their essence returning to the dimension.

The number of demons had exceeded one hundred billion, but now, not even half remained. Even Mephisto, a fellow Lord of Hell, couldn't help but feel a somber silence; his own fate seemed more precarious than ever.

Luke, however, felt nothing.

In his previous war with Cyttorak that had rippled across the multiverse, their clash had destroyed more than one universe, with the number of lives lost far surpassing these demons.

Hell's forces had also suffered casualties, with many demons perishing in the chaos.

If one were to tally his sins in some cosmic ledger, they would likely amount to punishments from divine realms.

"My lord, to fully control this dimension, you must obtain the Heart of the Dimension." Mephisto said.

"The Heart of the Dimension is an aggregate of the laws that govern this realm. Once you possess it, you can reshape the dimension's rules and concepts at will. You would be the supreme ruler of this dimension."

Suppressing his own emotions, Mephisto carefully explained the key to controlling the Crimson Hell.

"The Heart of the Dimension?" Luke pondered. He'd heard of the Heart of the Universe, but this was his first encounter with the Heart of a Dimension. Yet the two seemed similar in purpose.

Luke hadn't expected such intricacies.

When Venom had first taken control of the Living Abyss, the process had gone smoothly, without mention of needing anything else.

In truth, Luke had misunderstood; the God of Symbiotes, Knull's body, was the key to the Living Abyss and functioned as its Heart of Dimension.

Thus, by consuming Knull's venom, Venom inherited everything naturally, needing nothing further.

"In that case, the Heart of the Crimson Hell must be inside Cyttorak's body." Luke said thoughtfully.

"No, my lord." Mephisto replied, "When Cyttorak died, the Crimson Hell would have begun to form a new Heart of Dimension on its own."

"How can I find it then?"

Luke genuinely didn't know, so he asked.

"My lord, these bodies around us will guide us to it."

"With the Crimson Hell now ownerless, follow the energy trails left by these corpses as they return their power to the realm, and you'll be led to the Heart of the Dimension."

Mephisto then stifled a flash of greed that had momentarily flared in his eyes.

To him, the Crimson Hell seemed as tempting as the soul of a saint, an endless allure he ached to consume whole.

However, he knew better than to show even a hint of that desire before Luke, as the slave mark in his soul was no mere decoration.

Though Mephisto thought he'd hidden his intentions well, Luke saw everything.

Luke remained satisfied with Mephisto's overall obedience.

Without much trouble, Luke found the Heart of the Dimension and swiftly took control over the Crimson Hell. Connecting it to the Living Abyss became an easy task.

With that, the creation of the hell was officially underway.
