It's all in Honey Select 2, which is never really going to look as detailed as the high-end stuff in Blender or Daz, but it's a lot easier on the hardware. Funnily enough, rendering is usually instantaneous (at most a few seconds) in HS2, but the balance aspect is still there of course, just that it's to avoid crashing during the rendering. No idea how well that program would work with HS2, since rendering anything with good quality is done through mods. But might check it out to see anyway, seems interesting. Thanks and cheers!

2026-03-15 11:25:49 +0000 UTCThe egg did indeed come first. Tried the phrase as the title first, but then realized it'd be better as a punchline. Which meant I then had to write a buildup to it. Yeah, I assume it's the VRAM as well. When I started on the game I had an old Nvidia card that, if I remember correctly, had 6 GB of VRAM, about two(?) years ago I upgraded to a PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6700 with 10 GB. Your scenes and graphics are pretty good, but they could be better. There are a lot of settings involved, and you could push for more detail and resolution. My guess is you have tried to find a balance so rendering doesn't take too long. I used to use Blender for 3d animations and made lots of videos. So I quickly learned just how much time rendering takes and how much it eats up my graphics card's VRAM. So here is an idea. Get your hands on Black Magic Divinci Studio. If I remember, they even have a free version to check it out. Post-processing using it is amazing, and rendering is very fast. The real advantage is that you don't lock up your normal program tool and can keep working on more stuff. Anyway, just an idea. Keep up the good work!

Also we may have talked about it but I don't remember, I assume character and asset related crashes are due to VRAM? What card are you running? Wishing you a great week of sleep!
