Gotta say, nubbevisor is one Swedish tradition I really enjoy. And nubbe as well, specifically the bitter ones. I've heard they have one in Chicago made by a Swedish immigrant of old, which apparently is mostly known for being terrible. Heathens. A good bäsk is the best part of any holiday!

So, good news and bad news, we'll start with the good ones.

Barring any unforeseen disasters, I'm confident the episode will drop before the new year. All the renders and animations are done, just need to finish putting together the final scene and do a proper play test.

The bad news is that the new Eternum update just dropped, so no one is going to have time for little 'ol Trouble iN The aRena. Oh well, what can you do.

Prioritizing the screen over the fiancée

Definitely overconsuming caffeine again, always happens close to release, I just want to get the final bits done. Since it's Christmas time I'm also overconsuming sugar. This can mean only one thing: it's time to start to snus and overconsume nicotine as well!

I'll get back to healthier habits once the episode is out and about. On that note my sleep schedule is messed up the other way now, I've been waking up at 2 am. Kinda nice to get some work done in the silence of night while still being awake for the few hours of, well, I hesitate to call it "light", let's go with gray. Black and grey, such are the colors of a snowless winter.

Bathing under the influence

Hope you all had a nice Christmas! Mine was quite nice, a rather small family gathering, which is how I prefer it. Don't need to deal with the extended family, there's too many of them. Remember, the best sign that someone in the family hates you is that they gifted you lottery tickets. If someone gifts me something that is objectively worse than plain money, they may as well spit me in the face while they're at it.

Anyway, that doesn't happen in small family gatherings. Neat!

Does feel a bit silly to complain when I've worked and studied with Assyrians, they seem to attend several family weddings per year. I would rather chop off my legs. Two weddings a decade at max, thank you very much.

Honestly never understood the appeal of them. As far as I'm concerned, my relationships (which at this point are admittedly somewhat hypothetical) are my private business, don't need anyone else's blessings or approval or whatever else. Rather spend the money on, well, just about anything else really. Perhaps some nice prosthetics to replace the legs I just chopped off.

Anyway, I'm off to bed early, then it's back to polishing off the final bits of the episode. Expect a release in the next few days, and because of that I'll wait until then to wish happiness for the coming year.
