Update #117 Spice-O-Meter

Oh, hello there. Just practicing making an intro song. For what? I dunno, I just wanted an intro song. Maybe I can play it when I walk into a room or something. Just need to hire a goblin with a boombox to follow me around.

Haven't quite finished scene 8, but I'll get the final touches in tomorrow. Then we're off to scene 9, followed by scene 10 that ends in some spice. A lot of spice, actually. I'd go so far as to call it filth even.

I'm going to go ahead and make up an official Spice-O-Meter right here, it goes:

Salty < Milky < Spicy < Filthy < Heinous crime against humanity

As you can plainly see, my usual level of spice is perfectly balanced in the center. Also, salty isn't exactly less spicy than milk, it's more that milk is supposed to be super-vanilla, and salty is supposed to represent a salty person not getting laid at all. I'm abstract like that.

Are they disappointed? They look disappointed. They shouldn't be disappointed, the Spice-O-Meter is perfect!

My old mouse has been wonky for a while, it's always the damn scroll wheel that starts acting up. Got myself a new one and I've suddenly realized that I've been living the life of a plebeian for all my life. This fucker fits my hand perfectly, I didn't know a mouse could be this ergonomic.

Also finally got a cable that actually allows my 144hz monitor to actually be used at 144hz. What am I playing on a 144hz monitor, you ask? Oh, you know. Mostly turn based games, really... Battle Brothers most recently, to be specific. Ooh, can't wait for Menace to release.

I almost never look forward to new releases nowadays, and suddenly I find myself looking forward to like... three? I think? Menace, Europa Universalis V, and Endless Legend 2. Let's hope at least one of them is as good as I hope!

We handed in the ideas for our manuscripts last week (for the uni course I'm taking), got feedback that I need to do some supplementary stuff. And a comment. That asked me if I've ever written fantasy before. WHAT DID HE MEAN? WAS THAT AN INSULT? ARE MY FANTASY CREDENTIALS BEING PUT TO QUESTION? AM I OVERTHINKING THINGS?

Yeah, I probably am.

My main issue was that we had to fit our ideas and commentary about those ideas and a description of the whole story in a mere five pages. Like, I would've needed at least twice that. Oh, and there was supposed to be an actual scene in there too, which I may or may not have forgotten to add. Hence the supplementary stuff.

And I usually think of myself as a short-winded person.

Here's the law that allows me to commit genocide, see?

Been overconsuming caffeine a bit again. Always happens when I feel like I need to do more in a day than what I got done. At least I'm aware of it, which means I can avoid the whole spiral of Tired -> More caffeine -> Worse sleep -> More tired -> Even more caffeine -> and so on.

Anyway, once I've finished all the responses for course mates, and supplemented what needs supplementing, the course goes into chill-mode for a bit. Which means plenty of time to work on the game, and less need for copious amounts of caffeine.

At least I'm keeping up with my "exercise every other day" routine, which is neat!

That's about all I had to spew out from my noggin today.
