Spicy salutations, dear supreme and salacious senators.

Scene 5 is not done, unfortunately. Without going into details, there's been a bit of a situation in the family, and both my sleep and motivation have been somewhat impacted. Still working on the game every day, just not as efficiently.

I initially did go into some details, but it just turns the entire tone of the update into a real downer, so I'd rather not. Ugh, that makes it sound worse than it actually is, doesn't it? I'll just say that a close person is in the psych ward. Nothing violent or anything.

Still, I expect to finish the scene next week and move on to scene 6.

You may have noticed last episode that I've played around a bit more with tiny animations, where it's more or less just 2-3 images slowly changing back and forth. I quite like them, it's a nice way to get a bit of motion without much effort.

It's something that's going to show up quite a bit in this scene with Ruru and Jarlina. I think it's a great way to do massages and foreplay in particular. I do think it is a bit too stop-motiony for proper sex animations though. It's alright, and it makes it a lot easier to do custom stuff, but it's not nearly as fancy.

The picture below is a good example of a render that can look extra nice with some motion.

I want to go back to building up a big final scene for a large part of the episode thing that I've done before. Episode 7 didn't really do that, while episodes 4 & 5 did it rather well.

It's something that I more or less just thought of, so it's not really happening this episode, but ideally I'll keep it in mind for the last few episodes. A lot of the issue stems from me trying to do so many other things at the same time, which makes it easy to lose track of the essentials.

Kinda missing the forest for the trees, I suppose, except the exact opposite. Missing the trees for the forest?

I want to circle back to mental health here at the end. Take care of yourselves, and don't be afraid to ask for help from those near you. I know that can be very difficult, I suck at it myself, but people can't help you if they don't know you're hurting. And we should also try to be mindful of the people around us, they may be just as bad at asking for help themselves.

Anyway, either we'll have some scene 6 previews next week, or I'll have to drop even spicier scene 5 previews.
