Update #108 Welcome to jellytown

Population: Everyone but me. Heh.

Oh, also. Hello!

Bit of an IRL pic today. That's where I've been writing for this past week. If the picture induces jealousy, well I won't lie. It's warranted.

What the picture doesn't show are ducks and their ducklings swimming by, a swan couple honking in the distance, the occasional fish splashing the surface. A dragonfly zooming by and catching a bug, the very same dragonfly getting caught in turn by a diving swallow. Actually had a swallow catch one right above me, quite the dogfight it was. It took three attempts, three quick turns since they're both such agile fliers, three dives in mere seconds.

It then proceeded to land on that pontoon you can see in the picture, smash the dragonfly repeatedly on the planks. Until it missed and the dead dragonfly fell between the planks, left was a rather sheepish looking swallow.

Today I also had a little jumping spider walk over my keyboard, possibly in an attempt to write the next bestseller, the keys were unfortunately just a wee bit unresponsive for such a tiny creature.

Fantastic weather too. I've done my best to be careful with the sun, and to wear sun screen. Did I manage to avoid getting burned? No. No, I did not. I am about as white as a man can be without having albinism. Well, I suppose right now I'm a bit red.

The other downside of being out there are the mosquitoes. But they're not actually as bad as they used to be. Not sure if it's just getting older, or if I've turned immune due to overexposure, but the bites barely itch anymore. In my younger days I would scratch and scratch until they bled, then I would scratch some more until they were more wound than bumpy mosquito bite. That would stop the itching, but left small scars that I would have all over my arms and legs. Only skin-deep though, so they've all faded with time.

Besides writing, I've spent my time bathing (morning dips are the best way to wake up), walking, picking berries, and deftly avoiding getting peed on by my nephew. Oh, and can't forget the sauna. Sauna is love, sauna is life.

Reading out there is also so much easier. There are no distractions, no easy dopamine hits waiting for you. It's actually possible to spend some time bored, which is very healthy in today's busy world. Much easier being present and enjoying the things around you when those things are actually pleasant. The lack of a noisy highway constantly in the background helps. Instead there's just wind, birdsong, and the occasional boat.

Well, I'm back now, with a finished script to boot. Tomorrow I'll start rendering again.

Oh, have another pic with the view from the seat above.

Well, not much new to look at I suppose. But yeah, I could get used to writing and reading with a view like that.

Anyway, that's about all from me today. Expect fancy renders next week!

Thank you for all of your support, and I hope your week will be fabulous enough it makes me jealous!

The first few episodes were pretty quick, after that it's been a lot of me writing aimlessly, spending time puzzling together the incoherent mess of an episode, and then re-writing it. This time I managed to come up with something resembling a plan first, so the draft is a coherent mess instead, which is good enough to start working with. In theory, anyway. The script will see changes as I render and as I put it all into the game, so there's still a sort of 2nd and 3rd draft that'll happen as I work on the episode.

Finished script already! I may be delulu but that seemed fast. Thanks for all your work, I'm glad the bugs haven't been as bothersome as they used to!

I bet jealousy demonic waves would make my skin even redder. Maybe if I put on horns, I too can look like a demon.

Your lucky you are protected by Ruru or my jealousy demonic waves would be dealing physical damage to you
