It's a me! Gario!
I totally forgot that it was Saturday until just a moment ago. Well, at least I remembered before I went to bed, so here's a little update.
Hope you've been enjoying the new episode!
Been having a pretty chilled out week, doing a bit of reading, some long walks. Well, there were walks until the sun decided to not show up. Stupid sun, doesn't it know it's summer?
I've also been contemplating what the next episode is going to be all about, writing down a bunch of ideas, some funny lines that pop into my head, which characters I think should get spicy scenes and so on. Also wrote the first draft of two chapters, which may or may not be used since I'm still not certain what the episode is going to be.
Unfortunately there aren't any fancy new renders to show off, since I'm not making any while focusing on writing the script. The updates always feel so empty without them. You know what? I'll just add the new exit screen up top to make it feel a bit fancier. There!
Uh... Would you mind scrolling up and pretending that you didn't see that image before? I'll wait.
...
Nice, right? Alright, let's continue.
Last episode set up a lot of things in terms of character, and a little bit of plot. That's a bit of a new thing for me, trying to think ahead. Not sure how it'll work out. Whenever I try really hard with my writing I tend to get more negative critique than when I just kind of write whatever I feel like.
Don't get me wrong, it's certainly not the worst issue to have. But it does make it complicated when you want to improve. Like, am I supposed to find a way to be even more nonchalant when I write?
What I think might be the best approach is to actively work on learning new stuff, new techniques, new ways of phrasing stuff. But when I actually write I don't consciously think of them, just let whatever feels right flow onto the page. Sometimes what I just learned might be in there, other times it won't.
Next week I'll start properly getting into the guts of the episode, writing it's entrails and viscera and other words that are more or less synonymous to innards. Always felt like viscera was the odd one out of those. It's a strange word, the ugly duckling of organic words if you will. Except kind of the opposite, viscera sounds all nice and fancy. The fancy duckling it is.
Well, I'm getting real tired, so I think I will end the update here. My ability to stay on topic is questionable at the best of time, but I feel like this is getting out of hand. Can I make a joke about out of hand in reference to all the guts and innards from the last paragraph? I swear there's something clever there, but I can't find it right now. Oh well, I'll sleep on it.
Thank you very much for your support, and I hope you have a chill week!
