Update #104 You see a little silhouetto of a man

Did the voice that read things for you in your head change accents mid sentence there? Mine did. He's a rat bastard that one. Can't trust 'im, I always says so, don't I, love?

On a completely different note, given that there's about 52 weeks in a year, we've just about hit the two-year mark on Patreon. Woo. Just 300 more updates until I can do the gag of not posting anything at all.

I would've made a fancy image to celebrate, but I'd rather keep my energy for finishing the update, and not make something half-hearted again.

Grishla's green skin varies greatly in vibrancy depending on lighting. Very tricksy.

Gotten quite far with the final scene, should finish it in the coming week. Does that mean the episode will drop during the week? Probably not, I've got some more things to add and fix. Will it release in June? Possibly. Again, no promises though.

My biggest fear was that I would set up the final scene, and then get a bunch of crashes due to there being too much stuff when trying to render. Apparently I've learned how to keep things within reasonable limits for my rig, so I've actually had no issues. Feels good.

Started reading The Spear Cuts Through Water recently. It's partially written in second person, which I've only ever thought of as a joke, but it's actually sorta making it work. We'll see whether it pays off in a grand way or not, I do hope so.

If you don't know what second person perspective is, it goes like kinda like this:

Third person: He kicked in the bastard's teeth.

First person: I kicked in the bastard's teeth.

Second person: You kicked in the bastard's teeth.

Yeah, very odd to read. Despite that I've been enjoying the book so far. There's yet to be a spear cutting through water though. I am waiting with bated breath. I have no idea what bated actually means, I've just seen it used in that specific way many times. My brain grew up in part on the internet, so it just wants to assume it's the second part of mastur.

Huh, I actually spelled silhouettes correctly on the first try. Neat! All that reading must be paying off.

Anyway, this above is a little bit of the final part of the final scene. It features a crowd, and as I've done before I threw in these silhouettes. Look, my VFX budget isn't very high, this is the best I can do. Well, it's the best I can do if I actually want to release the game this year.

Not that anyone's complained about it, It'd just be nice to have something fancier. Oh well, ya gotta make do with what ya got.
