Update #69 Nice...

...

For a moment there, I contemplated just leaving this update as a title and nothing else. Then I remembered that I actually enjoy blabbering on about stuff and things, soooo... Let's get to it!

First off, I thought I'd show off some pre-work stuff for scenes, well, in this case it's specifically scene 9. Here we are, ready to decorate a piece of the aRena to ensure that it fits an Empress.

This is what it looks like normally.

Pretty bare, which I assume is the intention. Easy to customize.

Now, let me show you my interior deco-wait, is this an interior or an exterior? Uh...

Let me show you my terior decorating skills? Sure, that works. I think.

 You can't see it, but I also added a door behind the blue banner. Immersion.

Besides that I've also made three new characters. It's a good thing these characters aren't too important. Most aren't, anyway. Otherwise I would have to put way more effort into them, as is I managed to make all three in one day.

Making a character that I actually want to look good takes waaay longer. Though, a surprising amount of that time is typically spent deciding between hairstyles, which is another reason the character creation polls are great. No decision paralysis!

Yeah, I named him Bob. Look, it was a working name to begin with, and then it stuck. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Trouble iN The aRena was supposed to be a working name as well, I just forgot.

Unfortunately, that's about as much crowd as you'll see. The aRena map is fucking massive, and I wish I had a better way to get low res bystanders in the background. As it is, it's both a massive time sink, and a big resource hog. So we cheat with angles to try and give an illusion of bystanders.

Anyway, I ought to finish scene 9 tomorrow, and then... Hold on let me check. Oh, that scene. Huh, yeah I've no clue how scene 10 is going to go. Could be super quick, might not be. It also has more characters to make. Sigh. I really should've been more careful with that. Oh well, making them now means I can reuse them in future episodes. Recycling, it's good for you!

 Anybody want tickets to the gun show? Anyone? Hello?

Speaking of recycling, this booth will see use again in scene... Let me check... Ah, scene 12. Oh, and scene 15. Lots of aRena scenes, but I mean, it's a tournament episode, so that checks out. You may trust me on that, I've done the math! I'm totally good at math! Just, don't look at my grades. None of them, come to think of it. Avert your eyes.

If there's anything I should recycle it's my fucking diploma.
