Greetings, dear Senate of Pointy Ears.
I stand before you today, to address rumors most malicious. There are those that claim that cuteness is not, in fact, justice. As proof to the contrary, I submit the picture above. And with this, my beloved Senate, I rest my case.
Work this week was a mix of good and bad. I think my overall productivity was solid, but I had a lot of issues with crashes. First there was a new outfit (for minor characters, don't worry) that I was trying out that made scenes impossible to load afterwards, that lost me some work.
Then I made a pile of corpses (not in real life, I promise) and the program crashed every time I tried rendering it. After some troubleshooting there, I finally made an inferior pile. Well, I suppose it's not inferior since it's actually possible to use it in renders. Much annoyance was had.
Glinting knives, gleaming stars, globular eyes... I'll keep working on that one.
Scene three, as you can see in the renders, is a bit of a mix of several short scenes. Which of course added to the time it took to make. I did finish the entire scene, but little else. Still, three scenes in two weeks is pretty decent as far as I'm concerned.
These renders may make it seem silly to call all this one scene... What can I say, I've never been accused of being organized.
Ah, well. It'll all work out.
That stupid body in the background had a fancy mask the first time I made this scene, which was impossible to load when I went back to the scene the next day. Stupid fancy mask.
Once more in my life I've had the dubious pleasure of finding a new band that sounds awesome, only to hear something in the lyrics that seem a bit... off. This time it was about chemtrails. That's one of those conspiracies that I've always found so silly that I've never even bothered to take a look at it, so I barely understand what it's about.
As far as I'm concerned, the moment one should be scared of things is when the scientist start making a ruckus, because they're the ones who study how things actually work. Study in other ways than reading Facebook posts, that is. Sigh. Surely, on day we'll start properly counteracting climate change. Right? Guys? Hello? Is there anyone there?
Ooohhh the magic circle doesn't have a shadow, what does it mean? (It means that the prop doesn't cast a shadow, and I've just accepted it)
Anyway, enough doom and gloom for now. Let's go for something more positive.
I'm currently looking forward to turning in my first assignment for my writing course. Well, I mean, I have to finish writing it first, but I'm excited to get some critique. I think the one thing that I really live for is just learning, getting better at things, improving. Especially when it comes to writing.
There's also some nerves there, but not nearly as much as there would've been if I didn't have the experience of making this game. Creating something and putting it out for people to see is both nerve-wracking and exhilarating, 10/10 would recommend.
Am I going for a fifth preview render today? For no reason at all? Eh, sure.
One might think that I should've shrunk those chairs to fit the characters better.
Dear Senate of Pointy Ears, that's all I had to bring forward today. This meeting is adjourned.
Thank you very much for all of your support, and I wish you a cute week!
