Update #38 Demons abound

The Senate of Pointy Ears have spoken, another demon shall join the fray. 

Was that what I dubbed you guys? I can't remember. Whatever, it's your name now. Until next time I forget, that is.

There will be more polls during the week, not sure how to structure them. Maybe one big one with multiple choices. Maybe several of them. You will be able to vote for body type, skin color, and what not. 

Writing is going well, I'm about two thirds through the first draft. My biggest issue is that there's more things I want to do than I know how to fit inside a single episode. I'll either have to cut some stuff, or figure out a way to combine scenes and events without making them feel cluttered.

I figured I'd try to learn a little bit about poetry in an attempt to make my incantations sound more legit. In doing so I came across the term iambic pentameter and foolishly decided to attempt it for the incantation that was used to summon Ruru, it goes like this:

Greatest Of Deceivers, Appear Once More.

Chaotic Conceiver Of Ancient Lore.

Stride Hateful, Sovereign Of Darkest Night.

Strife Gleeful, Mighty Liege Of Shining Light.

Slay The Kings, Lay The Queens, Those Blood Of Blue.

Erect Thine Throne, Forge Demon Crown Anew.

Burning Horror Rest Beneath Crimson Trees.

Hidden Terror, Nine Words Be Thine Release.

Rise! Rend Bonds Of Steel, Chain By Chain Unleash!

I did manage to fit in the words that the MC stated it contained in the very first episode. It also sounds pretty cool. Though, it's supposed to have a da-Duh da-Duh rythm, and if that confuses you we're in the same boat, because I definitely messed it up.

Just don't question how one chaotically conceives lore. Actually, never mind, that's my entire writing process.

On the whole, I much prefer coming up with silly stuff that doesn't have much thought behind it other than sounding funny/cool/pretentious. This Shakespearean stuff is too fancy, and I think I've made him roll in his grave enough already.

In the coming week I should finish this first draft, and begin on the final draft where I hopefully figure out how to fit everything together in a satisfying way. So, in two weeks time we should be off to render city!
