Update #8 Crouching MC Hidden Maiden

If you look very very hard, you might spot the MC.

Good day/evening/morning, whichever one is applicable. Renders are all but done for the next update, just a couple of small things to add. This coming week I'll be focusing on getting animations finished, and then it's just putting it all into the actual game. The script will be fine-tuned along the way and sounds will be added.

Speaking of audio, I always played these types of games muted before trying to create one myself. I actually went back and replayed several of my favorites with sound on just to see how it's supposed to be done. If you felt like the sounds in the first release was mostly there just for the sake of having sounds, well... you were right. At least I lowered the initial music volume, my own ears have been ruined by enough main menus, thank you very much.

Audio is tricky, and the developers that manage to elevate their games with it have my deepest respect. Come to think of it, I have a newfound appreciation for the work of sound engineers in general, I salute thee.

Ultimately, making this game is very much a learning experience for me. Some things aren't going to work quite as well as I would like them to, and that's okay, it just means I have room to improve. A lot of room to improve. Like, a whole mansion of rooms to improve. 

What I've seen from other developers is that the ones that stick with it, the ones that complete their first game and then start a second one. They're the ones that get really good at this. That second game is a testament to all they learned creating the first one. I hope to create a great second game one day. 

For now, I'll focus on making Trouble iN The aRena the best game I can.
