LOVE this movie! So Penny is the Admiral's daughter that gets brought up in the first movie. At the beginning when Maverick is getting chewed out by his commanding officer, he mentions how Mav did a fly-by with an Admiral's daughter, it's Penny he was talking about. And then later on, Gooses wife tells Maverick how Goose told her all about him going ballistic with Penny Benjamin in an F-14(I believe). Those were the two scenes from the first movie. I liked Charlie, but I like Penny more. The story behind their relationship feels more real. How they've been on again, off again, but they always seem to find themselves back to one another. It's very heart warming.🥰

This one hit pretty hard, with Val Kilmer having passed away just the other week.

Tien "Come back in your jet or on him.".
"The Goose is always with him.", you ladies are just so hilarious with your commentary.😂
Lots of people have tried to make sequels to old movies (Independents day, Man in Black, The Matrix, to name just a few) and failed. Then Tom Cruise came along and showed everyone how it's done right.
Top Gun Maverick is easily one of the best movies of the recent years.
You can think what you want about Tom Cruise's private life, but without a doubt he is one of the last great Hollywood superstars and he loves cinema.
And my goodness, how does he manage to look so good in his early 60s? I hope I can manage to look that good when I get that old.🙏😅
That was an awesome reaction Angels, as always.💜

Happy to see you watched this right after original. Been a long time between both movies. Sadly Val Kilmer who plays Iceman passed away a couple weeks ago. Val played some great roles over his life. One of his most Iconic roles is when he played Doc Holiday in the western movie Tombstone back in the 90s. RIP Val

You may find it interesting but Val Kilmer, who played Iceman, actually had throat cancer in real life which is why his character did as well. He really could barely speak.
Sadly, he passed away earlier this month.
Also, ya'll should watch "Willow", Val Kilmer is excellent in it and its a fun movie created and produced by the Star Wars man himself George Lucas.
