Spirit of Sabazios
Added 2022-11-09 03:31:50 +0000 UTCMerging some disparate ideas and subjects I've been looking into. Bit of Serendipity stumbling on Sabazios. A lot of the art I create seems to fall into mythological themes associated with Dionysus, Bacchus, or Sabazios.
Sabazein used to be something barbarian worshipers would cry going into battle. Knowing the cult's involvement with powerful psychoactive drug use, I'd wager that one way of becoming "possessed" by the spirit of the daimon of Sabazios might just be berserking out on potent substances and letting the God's wrath come out.
