I tested Eevee rendering for this, as the volumes really gave me headaches to work with well in Cycles, as it just kept looking a lot different than in viewport mode (Eevee) and was just very laggy and time consuming to work with.
Turns out the Eevee one (imo) did end up looking better too overall (which btw took 95% less time to render!!)
I added both versions here (Eevee main pic, Cycles last pic). You can judge yourself
