Added 2025-09-06 17:57:39 +0000 UTCQuick update. Filming is going great with the Ursa Cine immersive! In San Francisco through the end of this weekend after having finished up with Yosemite.
I really wanted to show you a side of Yosemite that you don’t normally see. I wanted to show you El Capitan, and I also wanted to show you a little closer. Well, what was supposed to be about a 10 hour day of hiking/ trad climbing to the top of El Capitan via the El Cap Gulley Route ended up being a 27 hour day lol (from leaving the car to stumbling back to the car)
It was wild, we ran out of water at 11:00 PM, got to the top at 1 AM, and had to “Shiver Bivy” at the top at 3 AM after deciding to wait for the sun instead of risking falling off the edge looking for the descent XD Made it back to the car at 11:30 am. I was only able to capture a small part of it as I was not prepared to have such a difficult time getting up there.
It is absolutely beautiful up there. Cant wait to share what I captured up there among other parts of the park. Currently filming, will respond in a couple days!

Best drink of my life haha. Fortunately 15 mins from the car some hikers that were done hiking gave us the last 15% of their water bottle, didn’t feel like we could even make it another 15 mins lol. When we woke up at the top (I didn’t sleep it was to cold but Sarah got a couple hours I kept her warm) I was scared to try to film more since I was already dehydrated, but Sarah asked if I wanted to. Initially I was like no way we need to get off this mountain. 5 minutes later I was like fck it let’s get some shots this sunrise is beautiful and spent the next 15 mins getting shots XD Dedication you got that right haha.
