Its possible that its a bad cable. I'd check the cable first. I don't know the 3dio but I'm assuming it's just a 3.5mm cable (aux cord) so it should be fairly cheap. If that doesn't do it it could be the mic or the connector on the tascam but my guess is the cable; it normally is. Hope that helps! If not, I'm always available for audio questions/help!
