Happy New Years + Announcements!

Heyyo Everybuddy!

Been awhile since I've made a more formal post on Patreon. Not that I've been quite overall, as I've been keeping in touch with those of you on the discord server, which is both fairly active, and quite chill!

I wanted to give a more formal post to give you all an update on the game's progress, as well as the plans we have for 2020!

So, originally, back in the halcyon days of January 2019, I set out for my new years resolution to be finishing My Boyfriend's a Werecat! by the years end.

That, obviously, did not happen. 

I did however get the demo out back in June, which comprises roughly the first 8th of the game, and have been steadily working on the rest of it since then.

In the month of November for example, I participated in my first ever NaNoWriMo, and won! I got 50k words written down in that month, all towards the working draft of My Boyfriend's a Werecat! 

So progress is being made, if not as fast as I thought, or would have hoped. I'd like to say by the end of 2020, the game will be done, but I am not really sure of that either. I am definitely going to shoot for that, or for the first of the game's 2 acts to be done by then, but with development like it is right now, unless things change, it will be slow goings.

But slow does not mean nothing will get done, or will being quiet! as I do have plans to share as much of the process with you my patrons as possible!

In the month of January, as I am finishing up the draft of the game's first act, I will be sharing it with my highest tier patrons, so they can see how the story will be progressing, and even make suggestions and changes for how they think the narrative could progress.

After that, I plan on just chugging along editing and drawing up those scenes, releasing those scene's in set chunks. so that way, even if I don't get all of MBaW! out by the end of 2020, you will at least see more of these fun characters!

those chunks will look roughly like this:

so for Act 1 of the game, there will be 4 segments of it to release. the first segment, the demo, is already done and out.

the 2nd segment will cover Scenes 5-9 and the first 2 cat ends of the game

the 3rd segment will cover Scenes 10-13 and Cat ends 3-6.

and the 4th segment will cover Scenes 14-20 (or 21, we'll see when i finish writing them), and the final 3 Cat ends (of Act 1)

these segments will be freely released to you, my patrons, then probably added to the public version for a cost later.

So yeah, thats the plan over here at the dev cat studio's of mine!
