I also liked how the faces and poses had a lot of variety and the men were interacting with their environment and each other (not just standing in a static pose/position). The recent Thicker sets have been hot but they are starting to look kind of the same, especially the faces and poses. Generally I am not a fan of the cartoon style. Sorry for being so picky as well!
