I love this show but I can see why Graham wasn't a big fan of it the first time around. The manga before it got an anime was already very well received and popular. The anime helped boost that even more upon its release. And the crazy part is that the 3 seasons not only cover about half of the manga but they cut out a lot of chapters and panels from chapters that were adapted. Even then, the anime is very well received by it's manga fans. I love the series overall and I would ask that you go in expecting more emphasis on the comedy and interpersonal relationships of the main duo and side characters that come along later.

2025-12-03 19:33:10 +0000 UTCI love Anime RomComs and have watched a ton. Love is War was undoubtedly the best for a while and while some newer stuff I’d say is better Love is War is still top 5. Leans more Com than Rom but when it does Rom it still does it well. Also dub for this show is genuinely great and if you find yourself rewatching give the dub a shot.

One of the gretest strenghts of the show is that besides the main duo, the side cast is really stong too. And, don't worry Graham, it will slow down a little bit. And last, the show is 3 seasons and a movie, which covers about half of the manga. There's was a new anime related proyect announced but we have very little info about it.
