The original textbook tells the true future of it's user and how to reach their goals. The witch's cult gospels are not as objective and left many things open for interpeetation of it's user. I guess Pandora has something to do with those failed gospels.

When he is fighting against Elsa, Emilia says that she can't heal Rom if Reinhard is using his full strength. And about why the witches keep being the witches after losing the witch factor, I just assumed that they are the original users, the original witches, and were born (?) with them. And then the bishops stole them. No idea of re zero lore tho, this is just my assumption.

2025-07-01 16:29:37 +0000 UTCSeason 2 only appears to have less resets because it was one arc, Season 1 was three. Each arc so far from season 1 and 2 seem to carry a reasonably standard consistent number of 3-5 deaths.
