Ariane in Paradise 1.97 Day 1 Remastered

Got the original Sailboat working, and to celebrate here is the newly refurbished game part 1.
It's called 1.97 because itch.io makes it easy to load games as you increase the version number. So day 1 completed is 1.97, first half of day 2 is 1.98, full day 2 is 1.99, and completed will be 2.0
The game is nearly 1 GB because of the 1440p upgrade. Here's the link:

Besides the pictures upgrade, I changed scenes when traveling. Instead of scrolling through static pictures, it pans across a background. If Ariane is walking, the game shows her character bouncing a little to indicate movement. This is a recent feature in Renpy, and Daz has a cylindrical camera making infinite loop pans easy.
Day 1 has 3 of these, one per path.

Yeah, I agree she looks younger, but I'm not sure why. Current theory is that the face is more detailed than Poser and that gives the illusion of younger. As long as she can't be mistaken for a teenager, it's OK.

2024-06-15 05:29:21 +0000 UTCI like the demo, and the Daz models are growing on me. I'll say Daz Ariane looks much younger than her Poser model, not that that's a problem, but maybe she wouldn't be quite as self-assured or established in life as her Poser self, just a thought.
