Pics 221: Going to the Store(s)

More pics from version 0.65, already available to Daters. I'm making picture posts for the remainder of the month so I can focus on testing the newly illustrated sections of the game. It seems I'm always finding new bugs that hopefully are not old bugs that have been around for years.

As I try to work on the outside content, I got distracted by the interstitials. These are short scenes that fill in the gaps: driving scenes, standing in front of set scenes etc.

There's actually a lot of these, but many are boring, like driving by the Live Cabaret, or running out of gas. So I'm making this weeks picture collection about the more interesting stuff.

Date Ariane version 0.65 alpha now available

Here is the latest version of Date Ariane 2, been making a lot of new images and fixing bugs related to these scenes.

Pics 219: Downtown Scenes

Back in January, I tried using a new set for downtown. Unfortunately, the set is too complicated, and every picture took a really long time to render, and looked all pixelated. So I went back to the old set.

I tried the experiment again, this time splitting downtown in half rendering the back half then the front half and using a post render filter to get rid of the pixelation. Even with thes...

I'm improving my pace at making pictures, and I believe I passed the half way mark on this project. This week some park photos I haven't shared yet. Plus a couple of set tests.

Between all the drama in the adult gaming arena, which so far has not affected me (crossing my fingers), and some issues with my main computer causing random BSODs, and updating my laptop so I can work on it while I wait for spare parts. It's all very chaotic around here.

I did manage to get some work done and do two of the four park photoshoot scenes that take place at the fountain: The bikini shoot, and the naked date shoot.

Pic 216: Got my night vision back, let's play basketball!

This week was my second cataract surgery, and while it is still healing, my eyesight is a lot better, especially at night. Almost seems too bright in the day.

That means time to get out of the house, and play some basketball. My first out of the house scene is in the park, because I already built the set for it for the pre-dinner playground scene. Same as DAR, except I got a new basketball court, with nicer looking backboard and hoops and a fenced off court.

Censorship of Adult Games at Itch and Steam

There’s been a lot of controversy over a recent Steam statement that they can no longer sell games that are against the rules with Visa and or Mastercard. This was the result of an Australian censorship group Collective Shout.

This morning itch-io posted their own statement that they are making changes too.

Date Ariane 2 Alpha version 0.6, House pics done!

The past couple of months I've struggled making pictures for the game, mostly because I was getting cataract removal eye surgery, which led to a lot of anxiety that kept me from working.

Last summer, I redid all of Ariane in Paradise, and while it is a shorter game with fewer pics, I'd like to be on that pace again.

For now, this is the final pics from the house. I got things I want to add in the future, but this ends this part of the project.

I got things I want to add in the future that will return to these sets, but as a redo all the DAR originals, I have the house covered. I'll release DA2 0.6 as soon as I test these scenes, because I decided to change them a little bit.
