Part of the fun of doing all updated images is remembering the making of the original pictures. This picture is an update of this picture from the original game which I spent a ton of time on. Rendering the original image using the ray tracer on Poser 9 that I was using at the time took forever. I literally started the render on the computer, went to bed, woke up hours later, and my computer was still chugging along. If a mistake was found and I couldn't fix it easily with a photo editor, I had to do it again.
The big time killer was all the reflections. The table reflects all the bottles and glasses reflect each other. I had to limit the reflections to 3 deep or it would have taken days instead of hours.
Now with "cycles" rendering on an RTX card, the above image took about a minute to render. Now it is not just as simple as open an old file and create a new render, doing that looks awful. I had to retexture every glass and bottle using materials that cycles understands, that takes a couple of hours all by itself. But as you can see the results are stunning.

Here is another image that took a couple of hours to retexture everything. Especially the guitars and drum kit shiny parts.
Below are the full resolution PNG files of these two, plus a closeup of Rachel, Wendy, and Ariane and Lydia backstage.
